We stayed at Sun 'n' Sea with a group of friends over New Year and had an excellent 7 nights. The hotel is set at the quiet end of Unawatuna Beach, but still only a 5 minute walk (or 150 rupee tuc tuc) to the main 'strip' of restaurants and bars. Being a bit further out, we were able to...

We stayed here for 1 night during our SriLanka roundtrip and it was one of our best stays. The property and rooms are very tasteful designed. We had a ground-floor unit which was big and accommodated the 3 of us. Unfortunately the single bed didn't have a mosquito-net, which was a no go since I got bitten like crazy. Breakfast...

I stayed here with 7 others during Christmas and New Year 2014 - 2015. We had 3 of the top level rooms and 1 of the lower level rooms and all the rooms were beautiful! They are basic, but clean and tidy and have all the amenities that you need while on holiday! The top rooms have a gorgeous balcony...

Me, my husband and our two boys, aged 8 and 10, stayed at Sun N Sea for 7 nights during Christmas Holiday. We stayed in the family room on the second floor; a rather spacious room, wonderful view of the sea and a private balcony. One double bed and two single beds, both with mosquito-net. The bathroom is a bit...

My husband and I came here for dinner twice whilst staying in Sri Lanka. The pizzas are amazing! The service is really great and the restaurant has a view all the way down Unawatuna beach to the temple on the headland. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Based at the far end of Unawatuna Beach, this hotel is well-known for its restaurant - especially the pizzas. It does have a little beach out the front of it, but it is a short walk, or about 200SLD in a tuk tuk, to the larger ones with bars and restaurants. Our room was great with a table and chairs...

If you're not looking for a high-end resort, Sun N Sea is just about perfect for a few nights in Unawatuna. Rooms are clean and furnished simply. The location, with views sweeping west across the length of Unawatuna Beach, is fantastic. We enjoyed all of our meals at Sun N Sea, sitting just a few metres from the waves, and...

We haven't stayed in the hotel but we have been eating there almost everyday. You should try their delicious club sandwich and amazing drinks. We became friends with the owners and bartenders. Amazing place to stay I would say :-) The view of a sunset while eating delicious food, priceless!

I remember being here the first time. This time was just about as good. I got here pretty darn late. But the hotel knew I was coming. So they let me in without a fuss. I stayed in the same room I was here the last time (first floor, room 6). Heard the waves and went to sleep. Felt the...

The place is located at the corner of where the beach begins. It has a great view of the entire sea coast. The food is great and the staff is ever friendly and warm. Make sure you take the room on the ground floor as it's closer to the sea.
