Fabulous setting and views of the Nile. Very good hotel but expensive. Saw plenty of elephants and Rothschild giraffe but there is probably more classical savannah and game (antelope and lion) at the west end of the park.

I just got back from a second trip to Uganda. Their is a landing strip and you can fly directly there. Of course getting a driver is cheaper but it will take about 5 hours or more depending on traffic leaving Kampala. We had friends that are Ugandan set up our driver and I don't have his contact. The drivers will stay at chobe for a minimal amount and will also take you to Gulu for a reasonable amount and that drive is less than two hours. We had an amazing safari in June and I love that place. Recommend the tents next to the Nile so you get the full experience. Enjoy and be safe!
