Ate here twice during a recent week in Newtonmore. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Nice to have Skullen Skink and the Black Pudding and Egg starter was particularly good. Pleasant bar eating area and friendly service. On the second occasion they were unexpectedly very busy (for a Thursday in January!) and we had not booked. They coped well...

We were a party of 6 on a hill walking trip. All of our rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Needing an early start our breakfasts were pre-ordered and 6 hearty breakfasts were delivered to the table right on time at 7:30am. The staff were really accomadating and very friendly. Evening good was good and most welcome after a...

Great hotel, looks a bit rickety with a small reception area, but rooms were totally different. Exceptionally clean, very modern, gigantic comfy bed. Staff were great and super accommodating as I had flowers delivered to the room prior to arriving. Food was spot on also. Proper home cooked food, clearly pride took in the fresh produce served. Again, very accommodating...

This hotel was superb, but at checkin we had our doubts. The reception area is rather small and our group pretty much filled it and as a result the receptionist felt she had to loudly shout all the points we should follow. What ensued was a five minute Alan Bennet type monologue that could be heard from the carpark. During...

Booked through booking.com, and had to change rooms before we arrived due to my having an operation in between booking and arriving, and needing a single bed. This was no problem for the hotel whatsoever, they made it very easy. When we arrived after a long drive from Ullapool, we were impressed with the size of the room and the...
