Stopped by for a night whilst on a cycle tour. Thoroughly enjoyed the chat about the state of cycling with Neil, top bloke. Hostel is well equipped with nice tidy facilities. Drying room was excellent and wood stove is a nice touch. Would go back. Cheers

Stayed at Newtonmore hostel for a couple of nights and it more than lives up to all the very positive reviews here. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and very spacious, and the sitting area comfy and very cosy (there's a wood burning stove for colder weather). Toilets and showers are clean and there is plenty of hot water. Storage...

It was great to return after a few years absence and meet new owner Neil. Just as good as ever after 15 years of visiting regularly. Perfect location, self catering for individuals and small groups. Ideal base for access to Cairngorm NP or for mtb or touring bicycles. 15 minutes from Aviemore and close to the A9. First class self-catering,...

This hostel has very good facilities for cooking, a large eating area and lounge and a truly splendid laundry / drying room. Our room was rather small, and the bathrooms functional. Helpful proprietor.

We stayed at this accommodation during our JOGLE cycle and it was amazing. The couple who run it are so friendly and knowledgeable about cycling. The place was spotlessly clean with all the facilities you would require including the best drying room we have come across. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this lovely place.

This was our second stay at the hostel and as previous we had a great time. As there were 6 of us we were allocated 2 rooms which were more than adequate. The toilet and shower facilities were great and plentiful meaning that there was no queing in the mornings. Being set back off the main road meant that the...

This is a basic hostel but was a perfect place for our motorcycle club's first outing of the year. We had 10 bikers staying, plenty of parking space, so had the place to ourselves. Very handy for pub, food and petrol. Good value for money. Hostel was clean, tidy with plenty of storage space for our gear. Sue was on...

Stayed for a couple of nights to climb the local Munros. The hostel was well equipped and clean. Unusually for a hostel, rather than split the rooms as male/female with a mixture of parties sharing together, each party is booked into their own room (if possible) which in my case meant I got my own room since I was a...

Newtonmore is small, but in a beautiful part of Scotland. If you are looking for amazing scenery, nice walks and relaxation, this is a great place to stay. The hostel was very nice, and the owners lovely. I hadn't made reservations before hand, but there were some vacancies and they were very accommodating. The hostel is simple, but cozy and...

Lovely part of Scotland. Very friendly staff and very obliging. A perfect place to stop off after touring and better value than nearby Aviemore. Would go again and stay with this company. Will be back. Took dinner here too - recommend bar menu - very quick service, nice staff and dining room
