We had an overnight stay booked on 28th November for myself and my parents. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our respective rooms which were warm and inviting. My parents stayed in the Daisy room which was en-suite and was very well stocked with everything you could need. Very impressive! I stayed in an upstairs room called... More

Me and my fiancé stopped at Dairymans Cottage as a base for a weekend of Christmas shopping in York and we'll definitely be back. The B&B itself is brilliant, a lovely building in the very picturesque village. It's inside that the quality really shows though...our room was beautifully decorated and with everything you'd want for a couple of nights away.... More

My sister and brother in law stayed here last weekend when they came to Yorkshire for my party. Craig was most helpful, carrying cases etc. The rooms were outstanding as was the breakfast. Fresh milk was greatly appreciated for drinks in the bedrooms. They went for an Italian meal in the village, which was very good. They were able to walk... More

Lovelly accommodation - best we've ever had. Wide range of excellent breakfasts to suit all tastes from full Yorkshire to home baked croissant. Very helpful proprietor ("tell me when you are ready to go and I'll carry your cases down".)

What a fabulous place, our friends have stayed here previously and we will definitely stay again. Rooms are beautifully decorated, lovely and warm and cozy with wonderful little touches such as the jar of sweets and your own bottle of fresh milk for coffee (not small plastic cartons) ! Breakfast was great, lovely choice too which was excellent for us.... More

Cannot wait to return........ Visiting relatives in the area, a perfect base. Top marks for cleanliness, the fresh milk a great touch. Mum struggles with stairs so 'Daisy' was perfect, and our 'Poppy' room quiet and cosy. Our host Craig made us feel really welcome, and the Yorkshire banter kept us laughing. The breakfast choice was extensive and absolutely delicious.... More

We were a group of 5 adults and a teenager gathered for a family wedding and Craig was so helpful in sorting out suitable rooms for us all, including one sister with limited mobility. She had the gorgeous ground floor room, Daisy, with vaulted ceiling, which we found useful as a convening place for a glass of wine together. If... More

Stayed two nights in this B&B while visiting York. Comfortable and quiet room with adjacent bathroom provided everything we needed during our stay. Craig was very welcoming and helpful in making suggestions of where to eat. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. There is a regular bus service into York.
