I was discussing with my wife how hotels should build peaks to maximize customers experience and this is a perfect example. Not an extraordinary location nor extremely luxurious rooms, but the level of the service, friendliness of the staff and quality of the food made this experience absolutely good!
We will come back, hoping for a bit more snow..

Fantastic food, fantastic and friendly service, would stay again would recommend very highly.
The owners have all in hand from transportation to and from ski venues to picking up and dropping off at airport.
The atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxing and owners always there to give a helping hand.

After an hours drive from the airport in Milan we found ourselves in a quaint little place called Castione della Presolana. We stayed in the three star Hotel Prealpi, a lovely family run hotel, with excellent services. In fact one morning we missed the ski bus, which picks you up outside the hotel and the son of the owner of Prealpi gave us a lift to the slopes, what more can you ask for?

We stayed for only four nights but wish we had stayed longer. Not only was the hotel really good but the slopes, which were a five minute bus ride away were excellent. My partner and I are only beginner snowboarders but the blue run slope was one of the best we had ever been on, however it is only really accessible by getting on a chair lift. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't feel confident enough getting on and off them and it does get quite high up there. Once up there though the run can take up to fifteen minutes to complete, depending how good you are and the views are great. Whilst there we hired our equipment but ended up buying boards and bindings from a local winter sports shop, as their stuff was very reasonably priced.

With regards to food and drink, near the beginner slopes is a cafe. Be warned that it can get really busy between midday and one o'clock as everyone is hungry from skiing and boarding. It's worth waiting until it empties a little as you will not get a seat, which will be much needed after a morning of activity.

A ten minute walk uphill from the beginner slopes and you will find more shops and cafes/restaurants, only worth it if you wish to sit down to a proper lunch and rest up a little.

Near the hotel there are a few shops and a lovely pizzeria where the food and drink is really reasonably priced. The hotel even offers a set menu in the evening which can also be recommended.

The views and the scenery all around the slopes and the hotel we stayed in are spectacular and don't worry if there hasn't been a lot of snow, as the snow canons make sure there's plenty to ski and board on.

The location is perfect. You can enjoy the fresh air and in the same time be near to the village. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. They have a very nice balcony that offers a perfect view on the village and the mountains.

This hotel situated in the lower Alps is a perfect spot for relaxing and getting away from the city below. What stands out is the excellent service. They are hard workers and tend to your needs. I recommend dining in because the food is excellent and the breakfast buffet is five star.

Stayed at the Prealpi as part of a cheap package ski holiday. For the price it was great value. Rooms not very modern and not really big enough to hang out other than slepping but very clean, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Location was good - easy walk into the Village, although as a small resort it was completely quiet outside the holiday season. Excellent for a first ski trip though.

Strategically located between Mount Pora and very close to the Presolana, polite and very helpful staff, home cooking and sufficient, the property could use a Member Update, but worth staying there, great for travelers not too demanding.

Very nice hotel. I stayed for a pre-Christmas dinner, the room was nice and very clean, the rooms had a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast was good although not very plentiful. The dinner was top, excellent products, local and well cooked.
Advised.

Marvelous! Our opinion is excellent; nice hotel located just outside the center of Castione della Presolana with private parking in front. Large warm rooms with a view. Excellent staff, very attentive to requests especially from the group I was traveling with where we had some food intolerances, which the staff were able to manage perfectly and with great attention. We had half board with a top notch dinner, tasty typical dishes and a choice of desserts, one better than the other. Top breakfast with homemade desserts and jams, try it because they were delicious! The spacious rooms (ours was a triple attic with a delightful terrace, large bathroom and shower. There is an elevator. We were very impressed by the kindness of the owner, a round of applause to all the staff, we will be back soon
