In all areas of the hotel there was super friendly staff, so friendly and happy at work! The room was clean and comfortable and nice to have a terrace. The sauna was truly excellent, we wished we had more time to stay there!! And we had a good breakfast, plenty of choice. The lesser points: The room smelled a bit...

Great location to start nice walks beautiful surroundings. The hotel however has no good food and terrible beds. The location also suited to start nice bicycle tours, keep in mind that the roads can be though going up and down.

If you are looking at a perfect price/quality hotel, you have found it in Hesborner Kukuck. This hotel is run by a Dutch family where friendliness is the number one priority. You are welcomed with a glass of sekt in the bar and you receive a guide with tips for trips in the neighborhood. Breakfast is served between 8am and...

Just returned from a short stay at Hotel Hesborner Kuckuck in Hallenberg. First let me say that having a good holiday in this region is primarily weather dependent. We had hoped for a short ski break, but the weather was unpredictable and before we could determine the forecast for the long weekend (cold, but no snow and lots of rain)...

Nice Hotel, with friendly staff. Interesting cities are far away- so nature outings are the things to do. Hiking in summertime, cross country in wintertime. The comfort in the comfort rooms is moderate- eg. no table to write or so. Bathroom very basic. The wellness is excellent- three different sauna's and a small swimming pool. Clean and well kept. Restaurant...

The room was very minimal and worn out, hardly any amenities in the bathroom, but the wellness makes up for the basic rooms. A little remote as well. We booked late for a 2-day ski trip to Winterberg and ended up here as everything closer to the slopes was fully booked. All-in-all reasonable value for money. Service in the restaurant...

The village Hesborn is of no interest. You need a car to get to more touristic spots on about 10km.. The hotel lies in quiet surroundings and the sauna is a good selling point. It was clean and comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel in a comfort room for 2 nights, with 2 children. We had a very good deal via an auction site, so real value for money. The room was spacious, but with dated interior (timewarp into the 80's). However, everything was very, very clean. The bathroom was spotless, had a white suite and was small but functional...

We've been here in the summer of 2007 as a young couple. The hotel was generally okay, rooms are clean (with balcony) service is good (enough information about the environment), food is good and the price you pay for it is really not expensive. But: The so-called swimmingpool is very small and the average age of visitors is 60 +...

“Comfort rooms (more expensive) can have a view on the parking space. Others have only sun in the afternoon. For light I would recommend upper floors.”
