The place is absolutely amazing. Everything looks like it came out of a fairy tale. The hotel has done a great job in keeping the medieval style of the castle while at the same time providing a luxurious atmosphere. We stayed at one of the towers in the rain deer room. The bed was amazing as was the bathtub. The...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel off season during the Thanksgiving holiday. The drive out to the castle on the hill set the tone. As you get closer to the castle you drive down a road lined with old trees and then you drive through a very old forest with ferns and very larger trees. Since we were...

PROS: *beautiful rose garden and castle itself is unique. *room is newly renovated (but some furniture are broken!? lights...) *very near to the tierpark CONS: *apparently not enough staff *can't have extra bed in the room in the tower *poor staff training My family visited there last month, and we arrived around 1PM. Absolutely lovely! The ancient castle, the grounds, and decor with internal modern facilities (modern bathroom and Jacuzzi bath). The staff were also lovely, Laura, Anette's enthusiastic and patient ways with explaining the wonderful menu... We had 2 young girls with us, 12 and 17, who certainly had a lifetime experience. Although we are adults, we were also enchanted. The castle...

My family enjoyed our brief one night stay. Our room had a king size bed (split mattress) and two separated twins for the kids. A bed crown was situated above the king bed with white sheer curtains draping down around the sides. My daughter loved the way it made her feel like a princess. There was plenty of space in...

We booked two rooms in the tower. We had the highest floor. The elephant and Horse suite. They were amazing. Done in a very modern luxurious manner. I loved the bath and was given a rose loofah and frog bath toy for company. The rooms were very stylish, the bed comfortable with night lights like little twinkling stars on the...

Our friend Corinna who is showing us her home country Germany, brought us up to this lovely restaurant. The staff greeted us on our arrival like we were family. We sat outside in the courtyard. We had a pre dinner drink I had a sleeping beauty cocktail which was a sparking wine with a rose liquor (Very nice I had...

I thought the castle was prettier from far away than close up. There's a parking lot down the hill from the castle and a hotel guest parking lot closer to the castle. To the left when entering the gate is the garden and ticket booth. The garden ticket only covers the garden (obviously) and a walk around the castle. The...

First highlight of our trip was the Grimm brothers Sleeping beauties castle. This was an experience to our 6 year old in particular. We had good service and a beautiful tower room, with a four poster bed. This was by no means a cheap experience, but certainly a once in a lifetime one, worth the investment.

When I go some travels, I check the comments from guests on website. Sometimes or usually I find some differential points from them. But Dornroeschenschloss Sababurg is wonderful beyond my imagination, on hotel, room, location and especially meals. My visiting was with my daughter, but both of us enjoyed very much, in spite of rainy day. Just one bad point,...
