This hotel is great (and may be the best) place to stay in Lourmarin. Very helpful staff and great restaurant! The room was big enough and clean. I would recommend visiting Lourmarin to everybody who want see Provence and definitely will recommend this hotel as one of the best options to stay.

I visited with my daughter. We were lucky to stay one night as the following night was booked. The style and design of the hotel fitting in with the historical building is superb and very tasteful. The colours are exactly right. The staff were friendly. The room was lovely and the food was splendid. We would love to stay again.

I stayed two nights at Moulin de Lourmarin. This hotel has lots of character and probably is the best in town. It is well above average. It is well located at the end of a nice shopping street. The staff was friendly and helpful and in keeping with the quality of this hotel. Perhaps because of the heavy stone walls,...

We spent one night at this charming hotel opting for dinner and breakfast. Everyone from check in to check out was so helpful, patient and kind. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Best of all the food was absolutely delicious and served very professionally. Very reasonable and reliable. We will be back.

With my wife and the kids we indulged ourselves a quite comfortable break in Lourmarin. The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Very cosy and with avert nice personnel. The breakfast was awesome, especially in the private garden. The big issue was only to leave the place!

Our room was in bad shape, lacking details and by all means overpriced. No Internet in the rooms (in 2015!!!). Our Bathroom was very unsatisfactory. The person at the reception counter was very unfriendly. In contrast, food was great. And, the personnel at the restaurant were very friendly and professional.

We spent one night here in the middle of our hiking trip round provence. A great location and palatious room. Friendly receptionist and restaurant staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is well maintained. Only slight negative is that the room became a little too hot even with ac. But the bed and pillows were the most comfy so far...

I stayed one night in the hotel, visiting some friends who had holiday house rented for whole week just little bit outside the village. Very unique setting and nice atmosphere. Good location as it is in the centre of Lourmarin village. Staying in one of part of the hotel one must take into account that there is no elevator and...

Location, accommodation, personnel are all excellent. Public Parking is available but not always just in front of hotel. We stayed three nights and found the hotel most convenient for visiting the villages in the Luberon.

So let's start with the fact that it has no parking. I knew that since I read the reviews, but what I did not realise is that even parking in front of the hotel is not always available. Then let's continue with the fact that it has only wi-fi in the reception area, which I also knew from previous reviews....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of Lourmarin, one of the loveliest villages in France, an old 18th century oil mill has been converted into a charming hotel full of character. The 19 rooms are decorated in minimalist Provencal style with precious materials: raw wood, wrought iron and hand-crafted earthenware. Beside the fire, in the guests' lounge, on the terraces or patio, in spring, summer or any other season, the Moulin de Lourmarin is the ideal place to enjoy the tranquility of time that passes so serenely in Provence. The vaulted dining room with its rustic flagstones calls to mind the authentic, agricultural past of the Luberon. ... more   less
