We came to Ko Samed without a reservation and wanted to stay on the island for 3 nights. It was hot and around lunchtime,so we stopped at Jep's for lunch. We didn't feel like walking around comparison shopping for a room, so we asked at Jep's Reception. Price seemed high at 1200 baht (over $40 CDN). We looked at a...

Location of the restaurant on the beach and its design including its food was fantastic. However the room was in really low condition, sleeping was painful and the proximity to the road was noisy. I could not stay more than one night and moved to Veungdeurn villa in which the Island experience was a perfect one.

I spent one night in this hotel, and here is what I found: Advantages: The location is great! The hotel owns a restaurant just right on the beach. If you are short of time on the island, it's great to spend one night here. The food in the restaurant is quite good but a bit more expensive than other places....

My wife and I stated her for a night and liked the nice relaxing atmosphere of the beach restaurant and the central location. When we checked in and sat on the bed a big cockroach crawled across my wife's lap. I've travelled around Thailand for over 4 months in total and understand that there are bugs. We figured it wasn't...

Jiab Bangalo is a place that I would not recommend you to spend your money with as the place was without quality. It was my mistake to visited this place for second time. As my first visited to Jiab Bangalo was about last 2 years and we got problem about the air-conditioner, also the floor was not clean (I mean...

Jeps is definitely not a 5 star hotel. If you are looking for a resort type place with pristine rooms, full staff, etc. then this place is not for you. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and very much enjoyed it. The room was small but clean and very functional for what we needed. We spent most...

I have stayed at this place twice now. The first time wasn't too bad, but the second was awful. We took the 'deluxe room', which was quite expensive by Thai standards. It wasn't too bad inside, but was situated right next to a huge pile of rubbish, which grew by the day. The toilet blocked up several times, and was...

I stayed at Jep's for the first time in 2001, and the basic fan room was serviceable. The food at the restaurant was good and cheap, and the drinks were always ice cold and very good. Service was also great. Just a few years later I returned and it was noticeably worse--especially the service (newer people), and the upkeep on...

We stayed in room number 19. It was a dump. We had ants galore both in the bedroom and in what I suppose was to be the bathroom. The bathroom came equipped with to buckets, one for each leak. They came in handy when both my kids got sick and vomited all trough the night. Did someone mention mosquitoes already,...

The place is nice (especially the restaurant) but perhaps a bit overpriced for the quality. For 3 nights with 4 friends we slept in the room "family". No space to move in the room, the sheets were still full of sand, stained walls, the air conditioning in a bad state. After notifying the (unsmiling) responsible, the household was completely done....
