'Farm of Happiness' (Aanandache Shet) is an Agro-Eco Tourism destination in Konkan where we grow food organically... Rather naturally. So, why is it called Agro-Tourism? Agro Tourism destination simply means, tourism at an agricultural place... A farm. How does a capsicum grow? Do watermelons grow on trees like mangoes? Is cashew nut a fruit or a seed? How is rice grown before it lands into a super market or a store? What is nature's role in producing all of this, if a farmer grows this? What is a farmers 'KRA' in his career? Curious, aren't you? 'Farm of Happiness' is the destination where you find answers to these questions. Here, we dream and strive to provide an earthy, peaceful and happy living amongst the farm full of alphanso mango trees, cashew trees, select seasonal crops and vegetables and a lot of wild tree varieties. Fulfil your enthusiasm to live with a farmer, enjoy chilling in a traditionally designed Konkani house and have fun in participating the farming processes. Come to the 'farm of happiness", a mix of wild and a farm spread across 20 acres, where we introduce you to the concept of natural farming and also eating consciously (know what you eat and where does it come from). Not just the fun filled farm work but how about an early morning trail of the wilds to listen to some rare bird songs? Or sleeping on an open 'Machaan' under a star studded night? You may be a naturist or one wanting to just chill in a hammock under the trees, happiness... Is assured.

The Farm of Happiness is not just another agro tourism initiative, but it is one with a strong purpose. Rahul and Sampada have built an eco system of knowledge sharing and experiences, which are note worthy in todays world. As travelers, we often forget the responsibility we carry towards maintaining and nurturing a place with our footprints. The Farm of Happiness creates this awareness in a holistic way.
Their comprehensive approach to lifestyle, cultivation, culinary science, livestock management, income generation, and waste management is a world that one dives into from the first day of the visit. The unique part is that this immersion is subtle yet so profound that it leaves an indelible impression about sustainability and conservation.
Our entire journey to the farm has been one of learning where we wanted our children to appreciate the tenets of responsible tourism and sustainability very early on in life. Their hands-on experience at sowing ragi, going on nature trails, community dining, and interaction with local populace was an experience in itself.
As a family, we took back with us the warm hospitality of Rahul, Sampada, and their wonderful and benevolent team and lots of introspection.
Their idea of leaving the urban and opting for the rural to support sustainable farming and living is a brave one in todays world. They are practitioners of this idea, and they do so with courage and conviction.
The Farm of Happiness is a paradigm shift in promoting responsible tourism and sustainable existence.

Dear Rahul and Sampada,
Where do I start from because the experience was so mesmerizing that I am short of words to pen it down in a meare review. Very few hosts touch your heart and you guys are one of them. Your hospitality with personal care cant be measured in star ratings💕.. We still call our daughter the nick name Sampada gave her "Kaaya moah maaya" 😊.
About the stay,
1) cleaniless and hygiene at it's best
2) Mouth watering, finger licking Local cusisine (u should not miss the sweet dish with every meal)
3) Very friendly, helpful staff and safe environment that my toddler never came in our arms, she just kept running around the property exploring on her own
4) Farm tour and host's experience and knowledge about his work is priceless
5) Rooms have ample natural light and traditional water cooler which will take you on a nostalgia trip to your naani-daadi's house 🏠
Actually, our visit agenda was to learn about organic farming and evaluate as a career. Usually, people either demotivate or give negative review by talking about lot of struggles about their work or industry because they see you as competition but Rahul and Sampada aren't one of them. In fact, they encouraged us to take up Agro-toursim along with farming for diversity. We stayed three nights only talking about Agro-toursim and not once they hestitated to clear any of our doubt on the topic. Though we have been doing our research but the ideas and suggestions that they gave fresh, never thought off and out of the box. The knowledge they have about agriculture, environment, carbon footprint, sustainability, hospitality etc. the list goes on is just priceless.
At last, with heavy heart we said good bye only to come back. They promised us to visit our farm whenever we make one and who does that in this mean world but that's RAHUL AND SAMPADA.. stay blessed guys !!! 🤗💓💓

The place gives justice to the name ‘Farm of Happiness’
Charm of simplicity, minimalism, and touch of rusticness combined with modern world’s basic comfort.
Guests can sense the thoughtfulness and environment conscious approach in all the aspects of the stay experience.
Hosts - Sampada and Rahul and their support staff are welcoming, insightful, and warm!
They make you feel at home, a home which is ‘Satwik’.
All five senses can enjoy the experience – Beautiful, aesthetic interior and surrounding. You hear birds chirping, foliage and the light music playing in the background at the intervals. Delicious, homely and farm fresh food. Natural fragrance and the faint incense stick (Agarbatti), dhoop which they keep at the premises. The cow dung swabbed floor and the touch of natural materials in the interior, make you feel nostalgic and close to nature. Nothing is over the top but everything is naturally imbibed.
Transparency in their process is commendable. The hosts are very talented and of a substance.
We are glad we chose this place, all the members from all age groups felt delighted at the place.

I am extremely grateful for that exact moment when we decided to visit Farm of Happiness. To put it simply, we didn't even realise when the people who first introduced themselves as Mr. Rahul and Mrs.Sampada went on to become our very own Rahul Dada and Sampada tai - This is the connect that these extremely inspiring people have built in just a span of 2 days. This place stands true to its name and oozes positivity and warmth. The team of 12 is so warm that you feel like living in your dream house which becomes your "home" instantly. You learn to value your food, know where it comes for and start to get away from your habit of taking things for granted.
I cannot wait to come back to the best satvik food (they make even Raddish and Methi taste delicious, I have NO IDEA how!), the chirping birds, the treasure of books, the Ajobanche jhaad, the peaceful Vinnie, the valley, the bullock cart ride, the starlit nights, Rahul Dada 's abundance of knowledge and Sampada Tai's affection.
Thank you to the real 'couple goals' for helping us end a rather difficult year on a beautiful note. Manifesting to meet you again, soon.

I am short of getting the Best word to describe the BESTEST hospitality we received from Sampadaji & Rahulji of “Farm of Happiness”. As the name goes “Happiness” starts right from the moment you enter. It is not just the warmness of the people but the overall atmosphere itself which embraces you. To start with, which most of the touring freaks are worried about, Food, what to say, “Amazing”. A complete Indian Thali, with almost all the ingredients grown in the same farm and served hot. Taste is ultimate and with the passion it is served you will definitely stuff yourself 10-20% more. Ideally the hosts’ responsibility is limited to take care of your stay and food but the couple doesn’t stop here, you get a value added service from them. “Edutainment” the word Rahulji uses to enlighten us about the food we eat daily. The minute details, takes us back to our ancestors and increases our respect for their “Scientific” understanding of the world around them and they ensuring the future generations need not have to spend the time on reinventing the wheel, Hats-Off to them. “Bird Watching” is an added activity you can enjoy, if interested, with proper guidance from the hosts.
I recommend that you must visit this place once, because later on, you will do it on your own, to refresh yourself and ignite the purity greed, that each one of us has, towards our daily food.
Thanks

Very happy to spend, a beautiful 3 nights at the farm of happiness, true to its name!! Had planned 2 nights, but extended our stay by a day to enjoy the peaceful, happy environs and the wonderful company of Rahul & Sampada, our hosts. The rustic, yet perfectly comfortable rooms in this traditional kokani house, designed and built by this lovely couple is a story in itself. The informative tour of the farm was absolutely enriching for all of us, including our kids- Kabir,9 & Meera,5. The authentic, maharastrian, satvik fare served was 100% home grown farm produce and delicious. A special mention here of the morning kadha and pohe!! The evenings were spent chatting in the verandah, on myriad topics with Rahul, Sampada and another lovely couple from Mumbai, who were also guests at the farm. Indeed a truly soul changing, peaceful and happy experience at this 'Anandache shet'. Looking forward to more visits and a lifelong friendship with this inspiring couple !! Cheers and good wishes.

We visited “Farm of Happiness” in September and stayed for 2 nights 3 days. Since we were there on weekdays, we were the only guests at the homestay. And we were lucky to have met both the hosts- Samapada Kulkarni and Rahul Kulkarni.
When we reached there it was much more than what we had hoped for. A serene and calm environment in the midst of wilderness & farmland, surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers and breath of fresh air. Away from hustle bustle of any kinds.
Everything is so well designed right from the walls of the house to the interior of rooms, the cleanliness of every nook & corner, the landscaping of flowers and plants to the detailing of amazing Konkan food and its entire presentation. All of it is extremely well thought of. The home-stay is beautifully constructed with natural materials and modern amenities making our stay very comfortable as well.
Our hosts Sampada tai and Rahul dada are such amazing people. They are the warmest hosts with their beautiful aura and friendly vibe. They gave us our space when required. And at times we had all the opportunity to interact with them. They gave us their undivided attention, shared their immense knowledge with us regarding nature, food cycle, habitats, crops, vegetables, farm animals right from bees to cows & poultry and so much more. The farm tour was an eye opener to understand the logic & statistics behind everything connected with the word ‘AGRO’.
Their staff whom they call as their ‘Sahakaris’ were as warm & loving.
We enjoyed the walk towards the temple through lush green grass land, the collection of books, carrom, the hammocks, the amazing Konkan cuisine (from Ratnagiri) served hot and fresh at all times, petting the friendly dogs Vinnie & Kali and all the interesting conversation with Samapada tai & Rahul dada. We were also lucky to have been there for Sampada Tai s Birthday, listening to her singing a bhajan in her sweet voice & Rahul dada playing the flute.
The whole experience I would say was very ‘Satvic’. It was unforgettable. Since we ourselves have got a small farm in Maharashtra, they are an inspiration for us and we aspire to be like Tai and Dada and follow their example of sustainability as well as the beautiful humans that they are.
Cannot thank them enough for all this & more. Will definitely visit again.

We came to stay for 2 night. We from Kolhapur basically but me my brother and sister all live outside India for more than 20 years. so we wanted to spend some quality family time especially meeting after long Covid.Rahul, Sampada and his whole team made it absolutely enjoyable learning, very homely experience for us. Rahul is very knowledgeable and explains everything in great details. sometimes his level of details are eye opening for sll of us. Samapda makes sure you are not mised on anything and makes you feel warm and homely. All their staff are very humble and pays attention to your comfort very meticulously. His staff includes his 2 lovely Dogs, chickens and cattle crew ! They have lots of activities to do and takes us back to spend time without TV, phone, internet etc. like we had spent time growing up in our childhood. Even our kids who are born and growing up in Western world initially hesitated but they liked and enjoyed the place as they started to experience it. Food was very local, made in a very traditional way with lots of love and also served fresh, hot in a very traditional way. The place, location, surroundings, nature connects you very quickly to the original beauty of nature that we all have missed and neglected so far. Must experience for all to visit ' Farm of Happiness'. Couple small suggestions for improvement, the last about 1km road that connects to the place. it needs some work as that may cause vehicle damages depending on car. We had kids from age 1 to 15. I suggest add activities for all ages that are also in line with your ideas of happiness and plan and discuss for those upfront so every age group will have something to take with them. This is only for improvement but as I said, we loved the stay and everyone enjoyed to the fullest.

We stayed here for 3 days with our 9 year old son in November. Those three days have been an incredible cultural and culinary experience and has given us an entirely new perspective on a different way of life! Thank you Rahul and Sampada being such wonderful hosts and making our stay such a memorable one
This is the first time that my son has tried so many dishes willingly and enjoyed them, much to our delight. We got to try dishes that many years in Mumbai has not shown us. Deepa sends her gratitude to Kusum for her constant encouragement while she tried her hands at making Bakhri.
The farm tour was a real eye opener. It makes one wonder about the quality of food that we put on the table, among others.
Stargazing was one of the highlights of the stay. The manner in which Rahul wove together Greek and Indian connections, has piqued our interest; one new area that we plan to explore further
And we also visited the location of petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 BC. Never knew that such a hidden historical gem existed in Konkan. And expect to see a wide variety of birds in your morning and evening walks..
We left with a new appreciation for the place, the way of life and the hosts.
We hope to return back soon. Till then, we will hold on to happy memories of these three beautiful days!

What an unforgettable holiday that was! It definitely was the most unique experience we have had in all our travels. Rahul Dada and Sampada Tai are gracious, attentive hosts who perfect the balance between giving us space and engaging us in stimulating conversations.
Beyond the fact that it was a relaxing holiday amidst lush greenery, it was also thought provoking. The essence of the experience is to understand where the food on the table comes from, who is involved in its cultivation and how much effort is required to do so. You will certainly come away conscious of what you buy and eat.
Talking of food, this is the most wholesome, nutritious food you will ever have eaten. The carbon footprint of it is probably a few feet, so the freshness is palpable. A special mention to Ketan Dada who kept plying us with drinks and refreshments through the day.
The rooms and facilities are spacious, clean and well maintained. Yes, there is no TV, no WiFi and patchy network - but what better time for a digital detox. We slept well, woke up at 5:30am to the cacophony of birds and even with a full day of activities, we were always well-rested. Two things surprised us - one, there were not as many mosquitoes as we thought, thanks to the resident frogs and tadpoles and second, given the amount of trees and vegetation, there weren't any monkeys, thanks to the Mudhol hounds that guard the place.
Thank you, Rahul Dada and Sampada Tai, for the most wonderful time and we really look forward to visiting you again in a different season!
