The homestay is really BAD..NO AMENITIES.. NO good food... the condition of the beds, toilets, taps is pathetic...The rooms are very STINKY.. They have uploaded very old photos ... not realistic photos. Moreover the website said that there is complimentary breakfast but there was none... NO HOME LIKE FEELING... Leave about food they din't even ask for a cup of tea or water!!!! IS THIS WHAT U CALL A HOMESTAY???? WILL NEVER recommend anyone. also I am giving 0 rating becauz there is no MINUS RATING ......
If you have to enjoy Coorg and savour the life of coffee planters you must stay in one of the homestays run in the plantation bungalows. Eden Gardens is an old style bungalow and that large verandah is the clincher. You can just laze around there, chat endlessly or walk around the large plantation. The freedom and fresh air away from city lights is not to be missed. The ambience inside and furnishings are warm and comfortable without the artificiality of synthetic hotel rooms, You must insist on a bonfire and ask for the wide variety of starters to keep the evening lively. One Coorgi meal you must have and its better with non veg. Its money and time well spent without forgetting the hospitality of Mr and Mrs Anil Ponappa and the expertise of the cooks. One complaint though I have is that they no longer allow pets and what's a planter without his dogs to run around, in that huge lawn. Also pl check up with the owners since there are few more Eden Gardens…
Eden Garden Homestay owned by Mr Joseph. It is located in Madikeri, half kilometre away from Raja's Stump. Rooms are spacious, but bad smell in room, dark room /no ventilation in room. The owner behaviour is good. They provides food alsso. But still they can improve the services like: Any one should be available at the front desk all the time. They should provide daily need things like soap, towel etc.
