This is a little late but much needed. Great places like this need to be reviewed and shared with fellow travelers. I was searching for a place to stay in a coffee plantation for 3 families, and landed up on the link for the Little Jungle after some research on Google. Rated 4.5 + on google and tripadvisor this turned out to be the best decision for our family trip. Let me Rate you on a few parameters. Property - This is set amidst a coffee plantation and away from the markets of Madekari. Peaceful , Serene and a very well maintained property. Room Types- Family Room -The family rooms are huge and have 2 double beds and one single bed. Twin sharing - 1 Queen Bed Suites - I would love to stay here the next time, this has sitout, a huge bedroom with 2 double beds and a roof top Gazeebo. Nature- The is abundance of variety of flora outside the residential complex. Lots of colorful flowers, fruit trees and coffee plantation. There is a huge manmade lake which has ducks and is a great view. Recreation - There is a game room which has a Table tennis table, books and other recreational stuff. Large enough to sit 10-15 people Food - The kitchen serves you with hot, delicious food. And trust me they feed you with love, ensuring that you are happy with the meals. I would strongly reccomend to try local cuisines which they might propose for your next meal. The People - This is important as this is what makes your stay comfortable, happy and memorable. This property is owned by a fantastic couple who are personally looking into the business. This has brought in a culture of hospitality in the staff. Boji Mam- about whom many of the other reviewers have already written, is very understanding and a great host. She discussed with me my requirements and allocated the rooms, which turned out to be the right choice. She was regularly checking on us and also responded to our every query before we arrived. Bopanna - I understand he is a man who has an eye for detail. The whole property is spic and span because he would fix anything that needs attention. You will not find any dirty, damaged or bad patch in the estate. He is super knowledgeable about the plants and do not miss out on taking a plantation walk with him. The Staff- While many of the kitchen and housekeeping staff could'nt speak hindi, they were super courteous and friendly. They ensured that we got what we were looking for. They even cooked additional local cuisines when they realized we were open to try local food. A big thanks to them for making our stay and every meal so much fun. All in All I would Rate this place and the People a 5 Star. Now the Don'ts - Do not feed the dogs with biscuits. Bopanna has some pure breed dogs and he takes good care of them with the right food. I would suggest the guests not to feed the dogs without checking with the owner - The twin sharing room was a little small, maybe coz I saw all the larger rooms and suites. - Enjoy the coffee coz that's what the place is famous for, Don't be stuck with your love for chai for a few days.

Lovely property with excellent hygiene in room and great service. Real value for money. We (me, wife and adult daughter) stayed 2 nights (27-29 October) and mostly did birding within the coffee estate and nearby places (notably Belur Golf Club). Food was made to order and was homely. Owners Mr.Bopanna & Ms Boji stay on the estate and are nice people. If you like quite and wish to avoid the touristy crowds of Madikeri, this is the place to soak up western ghats forest and ambience, this is the place. Hoping to visit again soon, to experience the enchanting fragrance of coffee flowers bloom.

One of the best places that I've stayed at. From the 1st interaction with Miss. Boji (owner of the property) to finalising the visit, it was just a breeze. We had a team offsite at this property with folks travelling from diff part of the country. The property is away from the busy Madikeri, which is still ok because its very serene and peaceful. One could do a morning trail walk in the property - its a coffee estate; with Boji as your walking guide. The cottages are well maintained and they have a play room (table tennis) One could ask for a camp fire set up and they would oblige (we had 2 camp fires on 2 consecutive days) The Food is just tooooooo good / fresh and real time cooked Hospitality is to the next level I don't recollect the name of the caretakers - they were very helpful, accommodative. The entire team left with memories that would be cherished for sometime because we met each other for the 1st time and Little Jungle was the icing on the cake because we got time to gel as a team. Thank you Little Jungle and Miss Boji.

Had a Great stay at Little Jungle homestay. This place is a little away from the main road in the middle of coffee plantation which adds to its beauty. Evening walks in the streets covered with silver oak trees are mesmerizing. Rooms are clean and well kept. Food is good and Ms. Boji made dishes as per request separate from the set menu. The host Ms. Boji is very hospitable and pays attention to guest requests. Staff is also courteous. I would definitely recommend this homestay for an authentic coorg stay experience. Suggestion: Indoor activities could be improved a bit as there is no televisions in the room.

What an unforgettable experience it was at the Little Jungle Home Stay in Somwarpet Taluk Coorg. My wife and I were treated with such nice hospitality and care from the staff throughout the stay. The rooms were kept very clean and tidy. The location of the home stay held within the coffee and pepper plantation, among other trees and vegetation was simply exquisite. It was simply like a forest retreat with all our needs being tended to. The food prepared was traditional Coorg style meals, and it was like being served at home. Just pure organic food that was so flavorful and fresh. The staff took care of us like family, and attended to everything we asked. Thank you to the wonderful staff and Mr. Bopanna and Mrs. Boji for the lovely experience and stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit the area.

After 3 years, as a family we wanted to go for a vacation from 26th to 28th May '22. We planned to go to coorg. However where do we stay matters a lot when we are away from home. I had an office colleague who had suggested stay at Little Jungle, if going for vacation to Coorg. Accessibility to Little Jungle was easy and 500 meters from Main Road. We were welcomed by Ms. Bogi Bopanna. The place was well maintained with wide variety of plantations and comfortable rooms. Due to season and lot of bookings, we were blessed to stay in 2 type of cottages - traditional and contemporary during our 3 days stay. Children had a lot of place to run, play and explore. Other activities are like jungle walk, spending time in couple of ponds, badminton, indoor games like TT, Carrom, book reading etc. During Jungle walk, even though there are so many plantations like Bread fruit, Butter fruit, Chikoo, Arabica coffee, Robusta coffee, Lichee, Guava, Tree tomato, Laxmanpal, Lemon grass, Orange, Mango, Tamarind, Lemon, Cherry, Poppy seeds, Fig tree, Rose apple, Passion fruit, Cardamom, Pepper, Betal, Egg fruit, Green apple and so on.... the way Mr. Bopanna explained the minute details of planting and growing each plant shows the passion and personal touch. He makes it very interesting, that even children will love to hear and becoming nature lovers. The place is very close to Harangi dam, golf course, etc.... We enjoyed every moment of our stay there. The stay was really refreshing. The best part is Mrs. and Mr. Bopanna who run run this homestay, humble staff, specially Rohit and Vijay, homely food and yes... the maintenance with lot of plantation. If you are a nature lover and looking for a break from hectic day to day busy life, for a peaceful and tranquil place, then Little Jungle is the best option. Yes, it was really hard to say good-bye to this place, so we extended our stay for an extra day and came back with lot of good memories.
