FOREST VALLEY HOME STAY is situated 2.5 km away from Madikeri City. Surrounded by forest with a Valley adjoined by paddy fields where you are free to roam around and enjoy the nature. Totally different experience apart from the boring city life. You can have a healthy walk watching birds across large paddy fields and play by the natural stream. This place looks like a piece of paradise, we have small swimming pool for children. The food we serve here is loved and brings our guests back regularly. Coorg food, especially the signature pork dish, Pandhi kari is a hot favorite. The other cuisines served are the regular South Indian and Indian dishes.

We friends had taken the tree house villa for 4 nights and we overwhelmed with the stay ,food and service given by the caretakers Pawan and his crew and the property owner for making out stay memorable. Kudos to the team .. the property is well maintained rooms and bathrooms were upto date even in the rainy season there were no signs of dampness or fungus..

Excellent resort with basic amenities neat and clean rooms. One must definitely enjoy there stay at this place no age bar for this hidden gem. Hard to find because the resort is completely lost in the trees. excellent scenery fresh air, small water fall definitely worth spending. Caution. Do not get down or climb the resort in sedan cars which has very less down clearance you will definitely get damaged bumpers.

We stayed there for 4 nights and 5 days in October 2020. Took the whole treehouse as we were 3 adults. Our prime motive was wildlife photography and peace. As we landed on saturday there was a group of college kids staying at their lodge and they made our our initial stay troublesome as they got huge speakers, karaoke, chain smokers etc. But when they left on Sunday then we realise how beautiful that place. And yes we are addicted to their CHAI- that too in coffee estate....:)The food is served at the tree house, so that was great relief and also the 2 guys who are handling the property are awesome.Deducting 1 star as they should not allow the guests to come with speakers and that area should be no smoking zone. We got almost 20-30 birds species, it could have been more if it was raining throughout. Its a birders paradise, will come back soon. Thanks!!

Forestvalley stay is the very pleasant experience. The view from the balcony is outstanding and sound of the waterfall is very soothing music. One can sit in the balcony the whole day and do nothing with that view. Early morning I clicked many pictures of waterfalls. I would strongly recommend this place for a group of people or family with their own vehicle. After a site seeing very perfect place for relaxing. The staff were friendly and able to provide useful information's, food is good.

Forest Valley Holidays is just a few kilometres from Madikeri. A reasonably new player in this industry with decent rooms and clean toilets. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Tasty food and quick service. A few more cottages in the making. Provides a bonfire and music for those who love to enjoy the evening. A swing for the kids and a play area for the elders. A live (or manmade not sure)stream where you can have some fun and drench yourself are some of the features. Need a bit more polishing to the place to attract some upmarket customers and not to mention the way which is adventurous. Altogether a very nice place I must say.

Visited this place during christmas holidays with family. It's slightly outside main town, and better to have a car (pretty sure the owner can arrange car upon request). The place can be reached from main road by taking a sharp downward turn and further 300-400 meter down. Except this slight inconvenience especially walking uphill is difficult, its reasonably well maintained, surrounded by nature, has a small water way within the premise, served by helpful attendants and served good ample food. We needed to stay indoor and they prepared even onion bhaji for us as afternoon snacks upon request. Only advice for the owner can be, please provide some hangers in the wardrobe (understood they got stolen but there are locked hangers available). Towels and toiletries can also be changed every day (specially relevant for long stayers like us for 3 days), the hair dryers need some fix. Overall, recommend if you get a car.

From the time we booked our stay here, the experience was silky smooth. Satish was so helpful in booking. Before we started from Bangalore, we received a call from Darshan confirming our time of arrival, and when we reached there, we got checkin at 6am even though we were promised checkin at 12. The environment of the homestay is serene, the rooms are clean and huge. Now coming to the food, it was home cooked and one of the tastiest food we had ever had. The quantity we received was ample. Overall, the experienced could not have been better.
