Great Place to Stay! This is a hotel located about 2.5kms from the city center. The hotel has a terrace with great view. You can set up your table there for lunch / dinner / party. All mobile networks wont work. Airtel, Idea, BSNL and Jio was working great. Since the hotel is located in a remote location, you will have to carry all your stuff with you before you reach or you'll have to drive back to the city which is not very convenient. The staff are excellent. Mr Naveen guided us to the hotel. Due to ATM difficulties and new notes, we didn't want to drain our cash. Mr Naveen provided his A/C details and we could transfer funds and pay the bills (which was extremely helpful). Mr Pradeep was in charge of the property when we visited. He was very courteous and helpful. He arranged dinner and helped us plan our trip. The rooms were clean. The surroundings have lots of flies and huge spiders. So we had ensure that room doors were closed whenever we sit around in the balcony. The property has a lot of outdoor sofas and seating arrangements. That's exactly what is required to enjoy a place like Madikeri. Hot water was available round the clock. They use gas geysers and solar water heaters. Only suggestion is to arrange a power backup. There was electricity disruptions throughout the day. You could plan on installing a generator or a UPS. We didn't have lot of problems with this as electricity disruptions don't happen at night. But we couldn't charge our phones and camera on the day we left. Great place to stay! Choose this place for a peaceful stay!…
The location of the property fantastic very calm and quite place. Panoramic view from 2nd floor terrace, we spent hours there during sunset between misty mountains. They serve home tasty made food and snacks, they prepared pepper rasam and potato fry on our request. We stayed there for 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed. Better carry your stuff while check in as there are no shops/ eateries around. Room are average and in the evening/early morning, we have protect ourselves from insects, no mesh / netlon is provided in the ventilator and windows. We have to be very careful with the drinking water. Always buy mineral / packaged drinking water only. We had a serious health problem due to contaminated water. Owner of this property is not available there for supervision, managed by two boys only. Rooms and service could have been better. Ask for a room on the first floor, its had open dining hall and view from the rooms are beautiful. Over all its an ideal place to stay with family.…
Clean property, excellent food, friendly host. The view is extremely beautiful. Easily accessible to all the view points. There was a campfire as well in the night. The food provided in the homestay was awesome. So much that we never went out for dinner or breakfast.
We enjoyed a very good stay at Coorg Sun Valley. The Staff out there were very courteous and helpful except one thing that they give only rooms in the ground floor when booked through clear trip. The rooms in the first and second floors have a splendid view and are more comfortable. We booked a room for 3 Adults and 1 children, looked like the rates were calculated for 3 people, but we were provided only 1 cot which can accommodate only 3 people.
This is Gopinath from chennai visited on 2nd June 2016 and stayed for 3 days. Very Nice place and surroundings. Calm and super mountain view. The food and room is very nice. The people are very friendly. Nice to spend time with family.
Just on the outskirts of the city of madikeri, nice peaceful location with a wonderful view. The rooms were a bit of a disappointment though, no real windows and the ventilation was poor. We decided to put beds in the main hall to avoid the damp room. The service was good and prompt. Network connection was poor but that actually was a blessing in disguise.
Coorg Sun Valley is a nice villa situated very close to the Madikeri town centre. We (couple of families) stayed there for a two nights. The caretaker there was very nice and took good care of all of us. He ensured our stay remained comfortable. While we got good rooms, beware of the insects and mosquitoes - especially when you are sitting in the open. Apart from that minor irritant this is a perfect place to stay - especially when you are part of a large group (10 or more).
Jus came back today had an amazing time Very good location very helpful staff good hospitality and the Cook Chetan cooks tasty food Well maintained place their terrace has amazing view you dont have to visit Raja’s Seat for it Worth visiting, suitable for all be it family or just a couple or friends. You will definitely enjoy with yummy breakfast and dinner served there Thanks to Pradeep and Chetan
This Home stay is around 2.5 kms from Madikeri town on Madikeri - Virajpet road . There are not many buildings present around the Home stay and there is Forest behind the Home stay. There are no shops around the building,so it would be better to carry some additional snacks. It will be very cool in the evening and night because of the forest. We stayed in room names as "Greeshma". The view from balcony was awesome. The room is very spacious and has a TV at corner. Food will be provided at the Home stay with prior intimation. We opted for Breakfast and dinner and the food served was Hot and tasty. Parking space is bit less but it can be managed as there will only 4-5 cars (maximum) at any point of time. The person taking care of the Home stay is very friendly and helpful. Note: Because of the forest and trees , there were some insects entering the room in the evening, which can be avoided by keeping the Windows and balcony shut. Overall a Nice Stay.…
We booked the place 1 day before our arrival and fortunately had not paid any advance. Only positive that I could find about this place was the location - the view is good. We ended up around 4 pm. The owners were probably out and one of the attendants showed us into our room - it was like a broom cupboard inside someone else's suite - with a single fan and no window (or ventilation of any kind). And that rate was 1800 for a night, with breakfast. When we refused to take it they led us to a nearby set of rooms (can't call it a hotel or a homestay) and showed us a decent room. They assured us that it would be vacated and cleaned within 30 mins. After a 2 hr wait we finally decided to move out and seek accommodation elsewhere. No food available. They asked us to go to the city for dinner. Avoid this place.…
