The suite that we stayed in had a sitting area, bedroom, an additional common area with a bed and an attached bathroom. Though the rooms are a bit small (area wise) it was sufficient for us. The breakfast was included and was served in the room. The hot water was available in the mornings and evenings. It would have been great if the bathroom had a shower. The owners are very nice and are very helpful. The location is good and is not very far from the bus stand. Check with the reception and they will arrange for tours at reasonable rates. Restaurants are about 2 km from the hotel. Auto charge will be Rs. 30 to Rs. 50 from the bus stand (or restaurants) depending on the time of the day.
Very neat and clean home stay and the suite located place is very calm. The suit in-charges are very polite and friendly manner. The price also worth. It’s comfortable for family visit. The breakfast buffets arrangement also good.
Property is a homestay owned & managed by an elderly couple. Meera Aunty is a sweet soft spoken lady with a beautiful smile. Stayed there for 3 nights and the experience has been great. Except the season was too rainy, the bathroom floor was never drying. Breakfast served was home cooked and delicious. View from a window in the room was pleasing. Will Stay again, if I ever go to Coorg.
I will rate this as excellent due to well maintained, cleanliness, ambience and quality of home food provided. A decent view of Madikeri town from top floor. Definitely, recommend as a value of money and suited for family stay.
Location is good and owner (Auncle-Aunty) are very nice people with very humble nature. This place is nearby to Raja seat and abbey waterfalls.Breakfast is good the traditionally coorg food they serve.
We had booked the place in advance but when we called to get direction they sent us to some remote location saying that the is a problem with rooms at the one we booked.. they had overbooked and was making excuses last minute. Caused us lot of difficulty.. wouldn't recommend this place at all
Location--OK. Rooms- Standard.Only hitch was our 3rd bed which was not inside the room, but in an ante-chamber separated by a wall.Beds-very comfortable.Breakfast--the best possible in the peninsula.Coffee-fantastic.Meals may be ordered over phone to a nearby restaurant--tasty and safe.Services by smiling ladies which gives a feeling of home. Sleep quality was very very good.Toilets were neat.
We had booked this place well in advance and had even confirmed on the morning when we were supposed to check-in and we were told that the room is reserved for us. As we approached Madikeri, we called up the owner once again for the directions and he asked us to come to a certain point where we reached.,,We were then assissted by a few of the hotel colleagues to a different homestay, which had no name or anything and was far away from the city...this is completely unethical and not done...these people can absolutely be not trusted!!! On confronting, we were told that the water system of the place had broken down and they decided to shift us to a different place on their own...We requested to show us that the issue is genuine and take us to Cauvery Suites which they refused...we refused to take the random house in the middle of nowhere and were left on our own to find an alternate stay at like 8 PM in a high season and it took us some effort to find a place... Based on our experience would suggest avoiding booking place with people who cannot be trusted at all.…
We were in Madikeri, the second leg of our tour with family. We have zeroed in Cauvery Suites to stay as me & my uncle visited Madikeri and stayed there 3 years ago. Hence, it was an automatic choice. Located bit uphill, it's easily accessible. The property is spacious, clean, very well maintained. They offer complimentary breakfast as well and if we wish will prepare veg and non veg lunch which is chargeable. You will get hot water regularly. On the flip side, WIFI is not enabled when are in rooms. To sum up, it's a nice decent place to stay with family.
We stayed 2 nights and 3 days there. Contact person escorted our car from the Coorg bus stand. It was not far from the central point but a very peaceful location. Since we wanted natural views from windows they selected a very spacious neat n clean room with a nice washroom. Though it was difficult for my wife having knee problem to climb up to 2nd floor but the condition of the room n panoramic views from window made us happy staying there. Homemade breakfast and coffee were of excellent taste. But hotwater was available only for limited hours that could create an awkward position if you have digestion problem at midnight or like to take bath after 11 am, specially in winter. There's a language problem too with the service providers though they were dutiful and work in smiling face. The lady owner was very courteous but due to knee problems she couldn't look after the guests staying at first n second floor directly. However, since our driver knew local language we could overcome the language problems. TV set was working fine and different channels were available. No provision of WiFi will be a trouble for them who forget to recharge internet to their mobile phones. Since there is no provision for lunch n dinner in the property, local hotel takes the advantage of high rate delivery charge. But it would not be a problem if you have a car. In fine, it was a comfortable stay for us and we faced no problem staying there because our requirements were a little. It's value for money. …
