This place will make you feel like you are living in a hostel. No music no bonfire , if you are a group of young people and want to enjoy your trip please do not opt for this place. The owner will not provide you anything extra. We stayed for 2 days one day they provided us good breakfast next day the quality of food served also deteriorated.
If you need to relax in clean, calm and spacious surroundings, having +1 facilities, with great views at very affordable prices, this is the place to go. Complimentary breakfast is excellent : piping hot and tasty, prepared by an extremely courteous and efficient caretaker Vasanth (still remember the steamed Kadubu!) . The owner, Mr. Bheemiah though not present is a gentleman to fall back on in any issue, and helped us out at short notice after we arrived at night and stayed at a 'resort'. The difference was magical.
Stayed with my wife. The home stay is off the main road, little hard to locate. Had to call the owner for directions. It's located a couple of kms away from the town centre in a quiet neighbourhood. The room/toilet were clean and sheets spotless. The breakfast, aloo paratha, was delicious. The owner and caretaker were helpful.
Booked this homestay through cleartrip, hassle free checkin. They have 2 rooms at 1st floor with common balcony overlooking the front garden. Its only 2km from madikeri bus stop but its one peaceful place. Auto took 50 rs to reach. We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms/bathrooms are clean, and the owner stay at ground floor, they're very cooperative and helpful. They also provide home cooked food, if you confirm before. Its just like a home away from home. Ruchir.
Rooms, Location, Cleanliness are excellent!!! There are total 3 rooms in this Home stay - 2 are in 1st floor and other 1 in Ground Floor. So it is very ideal place if two family like friends / Relatives staying together in 1st Floor. Nice views from Room. Couple of points to think: 1) If you are not going with your own Vehicle or Home to Home Cabs then this Place is not for you. 2) Food is not at all good for North Indians but excellent for south Indians. 3) Complimentary Breakfast means only 1 South Indian Item choice for all Rooms. 4) No Shower fittings in Bathroom and towel / soap was given on demand. If you are ok with these points then it would be an excellent choice
Right place for peaceful and a beautiful natural place, surrounded by coffe and favorable climatic condition. OK Food.hot water always available . Well behaved Staff. and Owner... Property location to be learn before arrival because no directions. . highly recommended for Families. even rooms are on CP plan there will additional charges for Tea or coffee .Do not expect a hotel similar service .overall nice stay .
I have stayed in Misty Mercara along with my family on 20-21st October, 2016. It was a wonderful stay and food was awesome. The location of the cottage is excellent and one can have a great view of the Madikeri town from 1st floor balcony. Location: The property is situated near to Madikeri town and no one will face any difficulty in locating the same. Two km before entering Madikeri town (landmark forest bunglow) you need to take right and continue for one km. Room: Rooms are specious and clean. Toilets are also big and have 24 hrs hot water facility. They have power back up, though limited to lights and TV. Try to get the rooms in 1st floor. It has a great view. Food: We opted for home cooked food and that was delicious. We tried both veg and non veg and taste was really good. Service was prompt and owner took great care in arranging the food on time. In case you want to customize your dish please inform them in advance. Try their filter coffee. Place: Place is calm and quite. They have coffee plantation around and one can have a good view of the hills from balcony.…
Misty Mercara, The name itself suits the place as there was mist & breez when we reached the home stay. Very Pleasant Location & I would give 10 out of 10 to the location. Spacious, neat & clean rooms, Clean spotless Linen. Mr. Beemaiah Owner of the home stay is very helpful person & tried all that he could guide us to find location, sightseeing suggestions, What to buy & where to buy. He has maintained his his coffee estate very neat & nicely. Mr. Basant & family the care takers prepared very tasty breakfast for us. My Kids enjoyed the stay well. Just one thing to highlight (It's not a compliant though), This place is situated near the plantation & is a estate stay so be prepared to see insects entering in the room, however Mr Basant was very prompt in sweeping & cleaning when we requested about this. Would recommend this home stay for other travelers. .…
i visited this homestay on 12 th october2016 with my family and friends. Really ultimate homestay. very clean and neat. not very far from city but good view of nature. overall nice place to stay and enjoy.
It was very good experience. It's a nice calm place away from the hassles of the city and in the midst of the mountain on the backdrop. I visited this place at the onset of monsoon and seeing clouds with the mountain at the hindsight was one of a sight. Rooms were clean and has the required basic necessities. Perfect homestay with limited but sufficient facilities. Always try to get the room on the top i.e 1st floor as they give you the best views. There are total 3 rooms - one on the ground floor & 2 on the first floor. First floor rooms have a good space in front with good view.
