We had an amazing experience in Meriyanda. The food was delicious. Special mention to all the staff and the chefs who were extremely helpful and courteous. Had a memorable stay. Note: No mobile/wifi network available
The resort sits right in the lap of nature , with the tree/wood cottages giving the perfect warmth to the setup. Though the cottages(except the kind and queen) don't offer a valley view the location is peaceful and will definitely give you the closeness to nature that you are looking for. There is a river a little away(walkable) and also waterfalls from the same a little ahead ( short drive) and the famous Madalpatti view points. The property itself is huge and houses a tea estate with a rustic wooden viewpoint and you can take a long serene walk in the evenings here. The cottages are places at different heights and they have the rocky pathways which makes it a little tiring to walk often so senior citizens best avoid this place. ( Or atleast check and select a cottage closest to the dining and central area). As mentioned in all reviews there is no signal inside the resort( the viewpoint in the property shows up a few bars on the signal) and a perfect reason to digitally detoxify if you ask me! The food is good quality resort style chef quality. They make items per request as well, they got us really good fresh mutton. The Barbeque though the chef's needs better experience with BBQ style of cooking the set up is promising. The staff and manager , Achappa are very helpful and ever ready to heed to any of your conerns. We had a good pleasant 2 day stay here , Thank you team Meriyanda!…
Where do I start, starting from the hospitality since we arrived at the resort, stay, amazing food and until the last minute was phenomenal and definitely memorable. I cannot say enough about the vegetarian food Chef Prakash and his team made us during our stay at Meriyanda resort. We stayed for 3 nights and every meal was a different cuisine. Cottages hidden under the big trees, keeps the place cool even under the harsh sun. Come out of the room to the balcony, and you are welcomed by cool breeze, birds singing and the planatation view. Special callout to, Acchappa, chef Prakash and Anil. And ofcourse, all others who i may have missed calling out has their work behind the scenes to make every gues experience wonderful and memorable. Kudos to the team ✌️
Finally we broke free from the shackles of city life and drove to Coorg to breathe.. This was a hidden gem and we got a good deal too.. we travelled on 20th Nov for two days as a family of 4 and a child.. Hospitality started even before the journey began.. They asked for our food preferences and it would be Chef's choice . Mr. Achapaa helped us reach the resort and welcomed heartily. The road from the security to the reception is a bit stiff.. though it was cakewalk for our civic.. After reaching the resort, all the tiredness just vanished.. with birds chirping and the view to the hills, the plantation, the fragrance.. just amazing.. We got a queens villa and a cottage..we had our parents and daughter with us..They enjoyed thoroughly.. Food was awesome too.. Many thanks to chef Prakash and his team for fulfilling all our r requests preparing delicacies to pamper our tastebuds and taking care of our smallest needs throughout.. it was really needed to energize ourselves with the virus and negativity all around.. Would love to go back and stay here again..…
