We stayed at Aurika Coorg in Jan 2nd week 2023. Really liked the hotel property - it's surrounded by coffee & spice plantations. The hotel has a daily activities calendar for guests - starts with a nature walk in the morning, another stroll thru the coffee plantations in the afternoon, a bonfire story telling session in the evening and a final late night walk through the surrounding forests. Mr Ganesh, who is known as the "Birdman of Coorg" works as a naturalist at Aurika - he is well versed in ornithology, and he runs these activities... we thought this was the high point of our stay. The rooms are large and well stocked. The restaurant & dining area is beautifully laid out. Any downsides? One thing to know is that all the rooms are housed in a building... these are not individual cottages (like many other resorts in Coorg). It does give a diff feel than what you would get at a cottage kind of setup. Overall we enjoyed our trip and would surely recommend it for others.…
We recently stayed at Hotel Aurika Coorg and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a beautiful and serene setting, surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure that we had a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the night walk, coffee plantation tour, and early morning hike organized by the hotel. These activities allowed us to explore the surrounding area and see the beautiful scenery in a different light. We also had the opportunity to do some bird watching, thanks to the hotel's birdman, Ganesh HR. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about birds and helped us spot some amazing species that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Aurika Coorg very much, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway. The activities organized by the hotel were a definite plus, and we had a great time exploring the area and learning about the local wildlife. Overall, it was a fantastic trip.…
We had a wonderful and memorable experience at Aurika, Coorg. The hospitality provided at Aurika is beyond excellence. All the staff over there are so much courteous and professional that they understand your requirements even before telling. They treat one and all guests exceptionally. The resort has also engaged naturalists for providing guests experience of wildlife activities like tracking in the forest in the morning, evening coffee plantation walk, story telling at bonfire time and adventure walk at night time, etc.
Aurika was an excellent experience. We travelled with a big group of friends in December 2022. The property is beautiful and aesthetically made and very well maintained. Highlight was excellent and very warm staff and hospitality offered them.
We had one of our most memorable vacations at Aurika. We were a group of 22 people..7 families with teenage children. Aurika staff took exceptional care to make us comfortable. We celebrated 2birthdays including our son's birthday and they made him feel very special with the cake and room decor. Also the live band sang for him which he remembers very fondly. There were so many activities planned that we did not have a reason to step out of the resort. Birdman of Coorg- Ganesh made information on coffee(plantation walk) and bird(story telling) entertaining. Special thanks to the Chef and house keeping staff...the food was excellent all 5days of our stay. Abhishek, the front office manager was super helpful. Aman, Ritwick, Janaki, Deb helped out the kids with food and other requirements. Rajat , shreshtha At coffee shop were very hospitable. Highly recommend the stay at Aurika 😊 …

We were a group of 8 rooms spending 4 nights. From the moment we made our reservation, Mr Abhishek the FOM was our point of contact and ensured that we had an excellent stay. We had 2 birthday celebrations and they made them both memorable with such thoughtful gestures. Rooms are well designed and spacious with all the modern facilities and amenities...yoga mat was a bonus in such serene surroundings! Daily activities organised to keep children and adults engaged...trail walks organised. Property premises is vast and gorgeous..lush green with a variety of flora and fauna and the coffee growing and birds chirping all around....Mr Ganesh, the naturalist with his vast knowledge is a gem and a encyclopedia on birds and plants. The F&B team is beyond excellent...such variety of food (Chef sweetly put caramel custard on the menu for a dinner on our request !) The restaurant service team - Aman who looked after us with a smile always was a real hero for our group!! Rajat, Deb, ritwik, Janki, shreshta...all of them looked after our group amazingly well. Team Aurika, Coorg ably led by Mr Sanjay, the General Manager is a must visit . Thank you to the team for giving us a trip we will cherish over years to come!!…
This is a pet-friendly resort and we chose it after reading solid reviews and mainly because our kids wanted to take the dog along for a road trip. They have a delicious menu for dogs as well as pet-friendly rooms earmarked for dogs with dog beds, toys, wipes, etc. However, what is amazing about this place is also how beautiful and amazing it is for humans. So, what won us over: - The property is still very new and the rooms are spacious and well-designed. Rooms to restaurants/bar are very accessible, you do not need buggy or walk uphill which is true for Taj Coorg and even Tamara. - It overlooks the beautiful western ghats range of hills, coffee plantations, and water bodies - you see birds and animals from the hotel cafe and the pool is also one of the most picturesque ones. - The staff and management are truly amazing - everyone from manager Abhishek who welcomed us warmly to servers at restaurants including Rajat, Aman, and Shresta, and chefs Bahadur and Jamal - they served us the most delicious food at the Mirasa and roast and red cafe with amazing grace and kindness. - Food-wise - they have a very nice breakfast spread (dosas and podi idlis in Indian food stood out for us) and lunch/dinner were delicious, esp. Asian food we tried (Thai curry, Tofu phri king, soups, starters like paneer tikka, etc…) - lots of amazing vegetarian choices. What stands out is the high tea concept with coffee/tea/snacks (sandwiches, momos, cakes, ..) at the coffee house Roast&Red starting at 4ish pm. - Plenty of nice walks around the property which are many acres nestled in a coffee plantation, including board games, giant human chess, and archery activities… There are night walks that are unique to this resort and Mr. Ganesh who is a hotel naturalist also does flora/fauna movies/talks in the evenings with a nice bonfire. Last but not the least, I particularly loved the purple theme they have for this resort including the uniforms of staff! We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised by a nice chocolate cake in our rooms. So what can they improve upon; I still give them 5 out of 5 because these are minor items and will be improved is my hope: They serve water in 150-200ml plastic bottles in the rooms which should be changed to more sustainable glass or metal bottles. They informed us that they were working on this aspect. The ala carte dinner order ran late both nights; they can do better on this; if you are hungry maybe going for the buffet is the best course of action. …
