Arriving late one balmy afternoon I was completely mesmerised by the panoramic view of Honey Valley and knew I had landed at a very special place indeed. The hills around the estate are stunning - eerily beautiful, and you'll likely be accompanied on your walks (many are possible) by one of the estates friendly dogs. It felt like being in a very special, magical land in which to spend a few days, and I could happily have stayed for longer. Suresh and his charming wife were very welcoming and kind throughout my stay. However, don't go to Honey Valley if you want luxury, or fancy food, or want to have a party with your friends - that's not what the place is all about. Rooms and food are basic and simple, and it's supposed to be quiet place of reflection, retreat and walking, so people who criticise the facilities are missing the point a bit. Thanks for a memorable stay, Paul.…
The owner is a bloody money digger. We were a group of college friends who wanted to book a stay. We were a group of 3 and we selected the basic room for the stay. He kept on insisting us to choose bigger rooms since the price of the basic rooms were less. We weren't some newly married couples to book and amazing room and stay inside it all day long. We mainly booked this stay for the tadiandamol trek. Finally we booked the stay and we reached the place. The owner was very rude and literally ignored us in front of his other guests. He doesn't deserve to be the owner of such beautiful place. He's just interested in how much money you're going to spend. Doesn't know that he's into a business and he should treat all his customers politely. The place is beautiful but the people who takes care of it,he's one the most arrogant, idiotic hosts I've ever dealt with. Learn to respect every customer if yours, otherwise better stop this stupid resort business.…
The stay is on top of the mountain which can only be reached by their 4X4 Jeep. The ride in the jeep in itself was an experience :-) Well, as far as hotel is concerned; it is well maintained and clean. The food had limited option but was good and descent. You have lot of place around the hotel o roam and explore the nature.
This is my first bad experience with “honey valley” resort where I want to share with you guys / by seeing positive reviews I have booked honey valley resort for 2 nights. > Day1 when we reached honey valley resort it was late around 7pm (so I called and informed resort guys please prepare dinner for 5 ppl), when we reached resort uncle and aunty received us and taken us directly to dining hall. they have prepared 2 curries, roti & rice taste is not so good we taught like 200rs per plate is more, then we informed morning breakfast we don’t required it. > Next day morning when we went to dining room for asking milk for my kid , they were saying breakfast prepared for you as well have it, you won’t get nearby any tiffin shops ( I just looked around what variety they have prepared it was bread & jam ) for that they were charging 150rs per plate . I rejected saying I don’t want breakfast yesterday night also I informed you same . there onwards there attitude has been changed & no proper response , when I went for asking milk they have closed door in front of face saying kitchen closed even though ppl are having dinner in front of me . in my mind I taught like :- He is losing 5ppl (Lunch, dinner & breakfast) which is costing 7K that’s the reason there attitude has been changed, As resort price is less where he can’t earn more money except in food and fire camps ... Those who are going first time try to have it in Udupi restaurants we had very good (Lunch, dinner & breakfast) its came around 2k for 2 days (Normally who ever going first time please prefer outside you will get good restaurants in every junction nearby around 5 to 6 kms) when we are paying money it should be worth enough…
One of our best family holidays to date. The location is wonderful (all the more because it is not easily accessible). The family and staff running the Estate are very nice. The food brilliant (the taste and the variety) and the treks are wonderful ( Not to mention the Estate dogs which accompany you on the treks).
