I had my stay at Riyavar from 7th May 2022 until 11th May 2022. I took a presidential suite with a family of 4 adults and 1 child.
Property is well maintained and has a staff that you see running around to help you. Manager to each support staff is ready to do that something more with a smile to make your stay successful. Owners, Vinay and Shilpa are around to ensure the guests are getting homely treatment at the homestay. They guide you on how you can plan your site visits if you like.
They have camp fire, coffees estate tour, boating in their lake and river. I personally did not explore that but other guests did enjoy.  Music speaker you can connect and play your favorite music over BT.
Cycling, Trampoline and rain dance are something you can try here.
Food options are limited but the preparation is local style and tasty. Don't miss trying PannaCotta especially the tender Coconut one. North Indian, Punjabi dishes even if on menu list did not see them being available during my stay.

Somethings that I would like to share:
Hot water: have seen this to be a challenge for my stay. Had to wait specifically in morning to have the water get available in the mornings.
Power outage: observed tripping of power on average 3-4 times an hour. For me I felt this to be irritating more at night when you Air con's stop and you have to start manually.
Be open to pests: You are in a forest so be open to flying pests, lizards and kinds. I had my bathroom filled by rain flies 1st morning that ventured in from exhaust fan. In deep silence of night you can hear some insect hyms.

Day you check-in is only time your get:
Soap and shampoo refill not a practice.
Water bottle not given complimentary after room refresh.

If you are CTC tea drinker, suggest carrying your pack. Tea flavour here is different. REMEMBER You are in coffee land.

Recently had been to Riyavar and stayed for three days with friends. Wonderful property and with all amenities. Located about 10 km from Madikeri town admist woods. Being away from the crowd, it is peaceful, very spacious property. with plenty of open space for children to play. The owners, Shilpa and Vinay stay in adjoing bunglow. Shilpa Mam and the property manager Mr. Kartik pay a close attention to the needs of the guests. Great service by Kartik and his entire team. Both husband and wife come and chat with guests and make your stay comfortable.Rooms are specious, well furnished ith hot/cold running water all 24 hrs. Toileteries replacement, change of bath towels is done daily. Morning tea/coffee is served and later breakfast which has veg/egg /non vegeterian dishes. Along with regular menu, local cuisine is served which is very tasty. Lunch/dinner dishes were prepared as per our request. Cab services are available for local as well as for neighbouring cities. In short, excellent homestay. Given an opportunity, will stay agin. Thank you Shilpa Mam and convey my thanks to Mr. Kartik and your entire team.

I have no words to express my gratitude towards the staff and owner Ms.Shilpa. A perfect place to be at beautiful scenic spot luscious greens widely spread property hospitality 10/10 home made food is icing on the cake. The owner made such a warm gesture by extending a trip to the coffee estate. Once you come here there is no way looking back. It’s totally totally value for money. Don’t spend huge amounts on those big brands this place offers everything with such affordable prices. A big kudos to Shilpa ma’am and her so efficient team thanks a lot again and I would definitely come back again n again. Three cheers

Set amidst acres and acres of coffee plantation in Coorg, Riyavar homestay comes with the comfort and luxury of its own.

The hosts Ms. Shilpa and Vinay Bopaiah are one of the best people we’ve met during our homestay. They ensure that we were comfortable at all times. Special thanks to Ms. Shilpa for checking in on us time and time again to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. She took time to interact with us providing her suggestions on where we can go sightseeing and activities we could indulge in.

What makes this place unique is the personal connection the hosts established with us taking care of everything we asked for. We’re truly grateful for making this vacation a memorable one!

Riyavar Homestay offers open, spacious and clean courtyard with ample of fresh air and sunlight. There’s parking space, tree house with lounge set up, couple of gazebos, dining and high tea areas and the main building with rooms and suits.

There are bicycles, trampoline and books that can be used. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food served is delicious and one can choose from wide variety of options they offer. Don’t forget to indulge in their local cuisine which is to die for!

Every inch of these spaces are sparkling clean and beautiful. The staff is always at your beck and call and are courteous, helpful and polite.

For us, the best part was the ride to the lake set amidst the coffee plantation. They offer you a ride in the jeep and the short distance from the stay till the lake is an adventure in itself. Guests can enjoy rafting, fishing and enjoy the tranquil views of the nature.

Celebrated a special birthday in Coorg. Chose Riyavar based on web search and reviews. Excellent response from owner Shilpa who guided and made us comfortable at every stage. Actual setting was as beautiful as promised. Had a chill time. Coorgi food here is a delight especially if you are a non vegetarian and like your spices.
You need transportation if want to move around. WiFi was good except during short power outages. The owners, Shilpa and Vinay, manager Karthik and staff always eager to make your stay pleasurable. Strongly recommend.

Up market hybrid between homestay and hotel. Shilpa is a wonderful host with a wealth of knowledge. She will happily guide you through your stay. The owners have scattered coffee plots and provide trips to their mini lake with a relaxing boat trip and to the Cavery River for a nice short stroll. The accommodation is separate from the owners is well equipped and comfortable. Food is very good. Please note only cash is accepted when setting the bill.

Stayed at Riyavar Luxury Home Stay for the first time and it was to say the least, like a home away from home ! The best part of the comprehensively comfortable stay was the personal touch given to every part
of our little needs and major comforts by the amazing staff of the genial couple, Mr.Vinay and Mrs.Shilpa .

The bathrooms were super- clean, the bedsheets neat and smelt good, the sorrundings beautifully maintained and the food delicious and a pleasing mixture of delicacies from Kerala,
Coorg and Continental stuff.

The location of the resort itself is very scenic and made our morning walks very memorable on the road besides it. The hospitality is an amazingly easy blend of warmth, responsive and respectful service. The spacious rooms and outdoor facilities of a dance floor, parking area, camp fire, badminton court and a cycling lane add to the comfort of the stay .

It is undoubtedly, the best property for home stay in Coorg. We would like to heartily thank the kitchen staff, Nazeem, Karthik, Goutham and the owners Vinay & Shilpa personally for making our stay so very specially memorable.

First and the most important thing to note about this place is how much indulged the owners of this place Mr. Vinay and Mrs. Shilpa are in the daily affairs of the place. They are always there to cater to your needs. Everyone working to attend to you is just like family and will always be there for you.

It was a great stay...We was there for my birthday with my family and I was overwhelmed with all the attention to detail given from the room to to the food you and your kids eat.

A vast place with all the luxury you would need in one of it's kind homestay. Place to party, dance, play, roam.

The food is too good and especially if you like pork!! Everything actually.

We would recommend this place to everyone who is ready to shell out some money for the luxury and customized catering and pampering you actually deserve once in a while...

Thank you,
Kaushik Solanke, Sowmya Kaushik and Saaksh

A luxury homestay in its truest sense!!
My family including my wife and 11 year son stayed here between 8th to 11th May 2022 and the experience was nothing short of superbly amazing.
The hosts Vinay and Shilpa along with their assistant boys, led by Karthik, gave a warm and personal touch, suggesting us 'what to eat, where to visit' and consistently ensuring we were comfortable. This, I can assure cannot be matched by any resort or star hotels, if you happen to visit Coorg.
They even arranged a trip for us in their Jeep to visit their cofee estate, followed by a boat ride and a visit to their farmland and river Cauvery, which was an icing on the cake.
A particular mention and 5 stars to their homemade Coorg cuisine and desserts which were yummilicious and finger licking!! Breakfast, Dinner, morning coffee/tea every meal had a personal touch and care attached to it.
The property has a huge area and playground which is loved by kids and that's what every parent wants over a vacay.
We are still reminiscing and remembering every bit of our stay at 'Rivayaar' and promise to visit again without a doubt.
I highly recommend this place to everyone who visits Coorg for their stay to get an actual feel of 'Coorg'.

First of all the place is beautiful and peaceful and very nicely maintained. The host was very friendly and made sure that our group of 8 was comfortable throughout the stay. Food was excellent and very tasty. The staff, Karthick and others always had a smile while talking to us and provided excellent service. The icing on the cake was the Jeep ride to the Stream. The place is so beautiful that you would want to spend the whole evening there. Overall I would give a 5 star rating to this place and would definitely visit the place again. My recommendation, visit this place with group of 8 or above.
