Up market hybrid between homestay and hotel. Shilpa is a wonderful host with a wealth of knowledge. She will happily guide you through your stay. The owners have scattered coffee plots and provide trips to their mini lake with a relaxing boat trip and to the Cavery River for a nice short stroll. The accommodation is separate from the owners is well equipped and comfortable. Food is very good. Please note only cash is accepted when setting the bill.

Super Hospitality done my owners Mr. Vinay and Mrs .Shilpa. Very beautiful place to stay... being Gujarati family they had taken special care of our stay and specially for veg food... breakfast lunch and dinner very much tasty.......we had arrived in mid night they had given us too early check ins rooms and everything arranged so beautifully and easily and made us comfortable....it made us feel like v had came to some of our relatives homestay that much friendly environment they made for us...........very much personal attention Mrs Shilpaji had taken....very clean and neat property ....more than 5 stars I m giving.....super super super very nice property ....for Gujarati and veg peoples....for kids it's very much entertaining, cycling, badminton and many others activities...

I have no words to express my gratitude towards the staff and owner Ms.Shilpa. A perfect place to be at beautiful scenic spot luscious greens widely spread property hospitality 10/10 home made food is icing on the cake. The owner made such a warm gesture by extending a trip to the coffee estate. Once you come here there is no way looking back. It’s totally totally value for money. Don’t spend huge amounts on those big brands this place offers everything with such affordable prices. A big kudos to Shilpa ma’am and her so efficient team thanks a lot again and I would definitely come back again n again. Three cheers

This place is a must-visit guys. Excellent services backed by mouth-watering food and drinks. Big thumbs up to the lovely host Shilpa and Vasu. They make you feel at home. The rooms are immaculate and the surrounding is wee maintained. The manager Kartic and his team member Jiten do more than one could ask far.

Riyavar Luxury Homestay, is one place I would like to revisit. I give it a tag line "From your home to your home" This is a fantastic place for a vacation. Cut off from the city life with in forest like environment, this is one fantastic place for rejuvenating your mind, soul and body. Travel to this place itself is via a forest, so if you are lucky, you get to take photos of wild animals. A great place to spend time with your family and friends. This homestay has a great ambience and the rooms were just great. Since the time we reached over there, the staff absolutely made us feel comfortable and it was more like staying in your own house. The host Shilpa (owner) ensured that we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The food was something "wow" I miss it. You ask them anything, they cook it for you. The taste is just unexplainable; Amazing taste!!! Shilpa and her team pampered us with all kinds of cuisines. Needless to say the authentic Kodagu taste. Yummy!!!! Last but not the least the desert made of coconut milk, Oh man that is awesome. This place is absolutely child friendly. Children have indoor as well as outdoor games to play and they can use the cycles as well; again at no cost. People who are interested in buying spices like cardamom, pepper etc. can purchase from here as they grow it in their estate. Also, you get to purchase homemade wines of various flavours. Firstly the owners, Vinay and Shilpa, are very welcoming, responsive and give valuable suggestions for places to visit/food recommendations etc to make your stay fab. The rooms are super luxurious, spanking new and there is a very large number of kitchen and service staff who are highly motivated and always present for your requirements. We stayed in many home stays, on this trip and in our experience the food served for breakfast as well as on their ala carte menu was far more authentic and with generous portions. We tried the Coorgi cuisine for the first time and fell in love with it. The homestay arranges for outdoor dining every evening and are well equipped with speakers with blue tooth connectivity as well as a dance floor. They also organise a plantation visit in their own vehicle (as their home and the home stay is a little away from their plantation), boating as well as a river stop. Recently had been to Riyavar and stayed for three days with friends. Wonderful property and with all amenities. Located about 10 km from Madikeri town admist woods. Being away from the crowd, it is peaceful, very spacious property. with plenty of open space for children to play. The owners, Shilpa and Vinay stay in adjoing bunglow. Shilpa Mam and the property manager Mr. Kartik pay a close attention to the needs of the guests. Great service by Kartik and his entire team. Both husband and wife come and chat with guests and make your stay comfortable.Rooms are specious, well furnished ith hot/cold running water all 24 hrs. Toileteries replacement, change of bath towels is done daily. Morning tea/coffee is served and later breakfast which has veg/egg /non vegeterian dishes. Along with regular menu,local cuisine is served which is very tasty. Lunch/dinner dishes were prepared as per our request. Cab services are available for local as well as for neighbouring cities. Celebrated a special birthday in Coorg. Chose Riyavar based on web search and reviews. Excellent response from owner Shilpa who guided and made us comfortable at every stage. Actual setting was as beautiful as promised. Had a chill time. Coorgi food here is a delight especially if you are a non vegetarian and like your spices. You need transportation if want to move around. WiFi was good except during short power outages. The owners, Shilpa and Vinay, manager Karthik and staff always eager to make your stay pleasurable. Strongly recommend.
