Rooms are big enough for family. Nice staff. Food quality was good. Liked breakfast simple and good. Rooms were cleaned properly. Big busy shopping area are nearby walkable distance. Many madikeri tourism places are within 1 to 5km. Located in calm place.
Things I liked: 1. Location: Close to market, transit points, restaurants and some tourist attractions 2. Neatness: Spotlessly clean rooms and common areas 3. Breakfast: The spread and the taste both were pretty good. They made jain food available for us on request. Though Jain food is not available for lunch and dinner. But since the property is near to restaurants serving Jain food, this wasn't a big issue. 4. Customer service: This was the key highlight. They really believe in service with smile, and make all efforts to delight the guests. I would recommend this property very strongly for this one aspect. Things which could have been better: 1. Rooms open into a corridor, so not much natural light or ventilation inside the room. 2. They recharge the DTH connection for a few channels of your choice. To me it seemed like being Penny wise and Pound foolish. Overall a wonderful stay - would surely return to stay here.…
Best on all criteria. Location, hygiene, facilities, food quality, service everything is good at affordable price. Likit and Sharath do their best to keep guests satisfied. We stayed in Vasathi for 4 days. It is in the heart of Madikeri and still peaceful. On walkable distance from Raja's seat and Fort Mercara. Everything in the room was very neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. 24hrs hot water. They provided us with TV channels of your own choice and guided us about tour plan. We really enjoyed complementary breakfast, which included various south india dishes. Breakfast is provided between 8.00 am and 9.30 am. I liked idli And chutney. They don't provide lunch but you can order it from nearby restaurants. Corridor is decorated with some sketches which give us idea about local traditions. The only drawback is there are no good views from rooms. Except that stay in Vasathi was a great experience. We'll definitely stay there in future trips to Madikeri.…
At the end of my karnataka temple tour, stayed in madikeri with family for two days. The location is good and it is peaceful. The rooms are very neat and well- maintained. We had very comfortable stay. The staff at the reception were very co-operative and gave me all the required information. The breakfast with a number of varieties is very tasty.Decent resort at reasonable price.
Just a short stroll from the KSRTC bus station and the centre of town that has plenty of eateries. Spacious and clean room with good food upon request and a decent breakfast spread. Friendly staff who can arrange sightseeing at short notice. Easily one of the better properties in this lovely Kodagu town.

Hotel located in the heart of madikeri city. just half km away from KSRTC Bus stand. Loca market and abbey falls ,raja seat, omkareshwara temple are is nearby. Awesome breakfast with lots of varieties. For dinner and lunch do not search any other Hotel, if we wait for some minutes we can have healthy home made food in hotel itself. They started to built lift in the property may be in the month of march, lift work will be finished. Do not miss to stay at Hotel vasathi who are all plain to visit madikeri in future.
Good: 1. Great place@heart of Madikeri for your stay. 2. Hotel offers veg breakfast and non-veg meals. They even asked us to visit the fish monger right opposite to the hotel to select fresh fishes they would prepare as per our liking for our meals. 3. Rooms and facilities are great. Bathrooms had 24 hour hot/cold water (no need for one to switch on geysers!!). Everything seemed new and clean. 4. Homemade wine and "local honey" for sale, in case one is interested. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the products. Not so good: 1. No room for accompanying drivers. Although they do offer blankets and pillows, and use of bathroom facilities, and threw in complementary breakfast for the driver for the entire duration of our stay. 2. No great "views" from the hotel as it is in the middle of the city. But, in all fairness, that is a choice one needs to make when booking a hotel: views/middle of the city. I was more than happy with mine. …
On our road trip to Karnataka, Madikeri was an important stop.. And I read the reviews of Vasathi online and was quite pressed. A quick chat with Sharath and I booked the hotel. It's absolutel value for money. Clean rooms and courteous staff. Menu did not feature the famous Pandi curry and the rice balls, but Sharath quickly arranged these from the owners home, Meera. I was impressed! Good place to stay in Madikeri!
We stayed at Vasathi for 2 nights and 3 days and observed the following: 1. Room is super neat and clean. 2. Staffs are very very courteous and helpful. 3. Amenities are handful, we were upgraded to a.c room at no extra cost. 4. Room cleaning service is very practical. 5. Only downside is that restaurant food is too much spicy but bland in taste. 6. Complementary breakfast was also very good.
