Pros: Location is great. Rooms spacious.Parking area excellent.Tasty food.Good for families couples and group.

Cons:Service is lousy. Restaurant staff attitude not good and service pathetic. They think they are doing favour serving us food, felt most of the hotel staff dejected and moody.
Felt room pillow covers not changed as it was yellowish and hairs were there.

Comfortable stay though!During season they charge a premium , have been staying in this property on and off seasons and prices vary. Service should justify the premium!

The place is just a few metres away from Raja seat the main attraction of Madikeri, the hotel campus is huge with ample car parking place. After the booking, the hotel staff continuously kept guiding us and as we had reached late, they even kept the food ready which we had ordered. We relished the food and the view from our rooms were simply breathtaking and they had completely sanitised the place and followed all the government norms. The only drawback is as the cost of breakfast which is very high for 2 idlies, and chow chow bath. The service was too good.

Its an amazingly clean resort and immaculate cleanliness which is unheard of or unseen the staff work smilingly. The place is on a hilltop with beautiful landscape with picturesque view near the rajas seat . Food is really good but a bit expensive for breakfast booking.com
Which mentioned 150 per person but they charged 200 per person. They give sr citizen discount if u book directly. Pakoras tea coffee has to be taken in the dining room or we sat in the big covered verandah or huge balcony Does not accept cards atleast when we went they took the alibi of yesbank being their bank which is rare for govt hotels having pvt banks.linen towels were quite bad toiletries just ok very basic& lighting poor wifi had tobe asked for password. But a good night's sleep was there. A beautiful place to stay.Should improve their front office and handling of customer no customer delight.

This is a good place to stay from location & view perspective with a good swimming pool, however the food quality & taste is really bad. Especially soups, curries for lunch & dinner. They have a standard breakfast buffet which is 200/person.

Food vendor should be changed.

We booked top valued 3 deluxe suites paying high value .. in return we got 3 different rooms out of which one was very small , 2nd was medium and 3rd being same as shown on net(whereas we were supposed to get same 3 rooms).. Front desk staff is rude especially the Manager he was like go and complain not all rooms are same whichever room has refrigerator are Suite rooms. Thats clear cheating. They should clearly mention rooms look and feel vary and not boast about spacious lavish room whereas in reality it is not. Food is very average and costly

The room was quite spacious and had a great view from the room. This hotel has huge parking spaces and it is secured. The restaurant food quality is not good though, so we opted to eat outside. There are few restaurants within the walking distance (1 to 1.5 Kms) from this hotel.
The hotel doesn't provide Bisleri bottles and we had to pay for it. Though, when asked they gave us filtered water in a jug which I wasn't very confident. In the morning, if you do not instruct them to clean the room they wouldn't do it.

The hotel Mayura Valley View in Madikeri is a (KSTDC) Karnataka Tourism-run property that, despite its age, is kept in exceptional condition. In addition to its excellent location, we had a spectacular valley view. The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were spacious and clean, with large bathrooms. The room was equipped with dressing tables, an extra cot, and a pleasant view of the garden. In the restaurant's outdoor seating area, there was a beautiful view of a garden and a hill. There is also a minibar and clean restrooms at the restaurant. South Indian dishes are served as part of the breakfast menu. There is ample parking available.

We spent a night here in september. The room we got was on the ground floor. The room was not as good and clean as the one we got in dec 2019 during our last visit here. That time we had a room on the first floor which was much much better even though we had selected the same category of the room. As far as i remember that room had a water boiler and tea kit along with a bottle of water which was all missing in this room this time. The breakfast also is extremely limited due to covid. Last time they had a buffet but now dur to covid restrictions they serve a very limited breakfast on the table. The food taste was good. The staff is extremely helpful and they called me when i forgot some of my documents in the hotel. Overall a good hotel if you can get the rooms on the first floor. Avoid ground floor rooms.

Being a government property this hotel boasts of some magnificent views due to its premium location. The hotel is spread over a huge area with ample parking space. Its location is quite close to the bus stand and local market. Rooms are huge, spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms too are big and clean with nice towel, soap, shampoo etc. The room even had a dressing section with wardrobe. Service is prompt. Restaurant is average. They have a swimming pool but didn't seem to be hygienic as dogs were roaming around it.

Very Nice Location is Near Raja Seat - Spacious rooms with good refreshing View. Staff is very helpful and nice attitude. Rooms were clean ; There is ample parking space. This is a ageing property and KSTDC would do a great service to itself and tourists by rebuilding this place at this prime location.
But for Old building, it is Value for Money !

Complementary tea and coffee sachets are available with electric kettle. But, no refrigerator was there in the room. If you want some services like refrigeration you may request the restaurant for assistance.
