If you are planning to stay here than Please check for basic things like wifi, towels They say they provide breakfast but when you reach they deny giving everything .... Do check & get it in writing specially if you negotiate any amount than it is must As they may not offer basic stuff & becomes very rude
Very good host, as well as the property is well maintained, only thing we think it needs is cooking food for Adults, as still there is no restriction on cooking as we can cook food for kids. The Owners are also very polite. They have a store as well in the market from where we got some of the spices, coffee which are of really good quality. We stayed there for the new year' 2019.
We'd enjoyed thorougly this homestay last week (04/11/2018 - 08/11/2018) and are very much happy travellers. Mr. Karumbiah (owner) had helped us timely right from regular follow-up of our arrival from Belur to Madikeri till booking a slot of table for our dinner @ a restaurant, managed additional bed in his bedroom, and also provided us basic itineray about Coorg. Location is superb, peaceful, calm and clean; also Majula(maid/cook) had served us awesome delicious south indian breakfast items, Homestay is pleasant and would recommend everybody to experience Mr.Karumbiah and Usha Madam's hospitality.
This place was really good. Relaxing and very neat. Breakfast was served promptly. The Host are very welcome and courteous. Would definitely recommend people for this place . One small disadvantage is to locate the place. Would appreciate if a map is given by the owner. Thanks.
Stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. The food for breakfast was the best I’ve eaten anywhere and served with a big smile. The bed was comfortable, bathroom had a good show and kitchen well stocked. The whole house was spotless. Lovely gardens cant recommend it more highly
Had a very good experience staying at this place. Located in a quiet and calm location. Nice view from the homestay. Neat and clean. Rooms are very well maintained. Nice owners. Decent price. Can be booked without a second thought.
The Ajantha Homestay is an excellent place to stay for families with children who enjoy exploring the region. But also for business travelers or those who want a short stay away from Bengaluru in a town with history, restaurants and shops surrounded by nature. We are a family from London, UK, with 2 girls aged 11 and 8. We found the Ajantha Homestay a welcome retreat on a green hill overlooking and close to the centre of Madikiri town. We in particular appreciated the cleanliness and tranquility with spacious rooms surrounding an area where our children could play. Last but not least we had the great pleasure of benefitting from the extreme hospitability of the owners. They went out of their way to assist us in exploring the many attractions around Madikiri without knowing India and without speaking any of the local languages. Vini and Karumbaiah truly made our stay a unique and unforgettable experience.…
I am writing this review little late as I visited here during Diwali 2016. This place is heaven. You just cant get your eyes off from this place overall. The entire property was kept very well. All the three rooms had all the amenities. The best part is like you feel as if you are home. The service, the hospitality & everything else is just up to mark. Lovely food, superb ambience & environment Overall, you must stay at this homestay if you are planning to visit coorg.
Classy, sophisticated and therapeutic is how I would describe Ajantha. Strategically placed on a hill top, look no further if you are keen on a much needed break from the humdrum of a busy city life. Serene and surreal, this homestay is tucked away amidst lush greenery and dainty little homes. The hosts are polite, treat you like family and see that all your needs are met. Highly recommended during summer.
Well I was on my business trip in south karnataka, so decided to stay in coorg for the weekend. I was alone and being a girl was bit skeptical to stay in a homestay but also wanted to experience it. So instead of booking online I directly went to checkout the place. The owner was very humble and showed me the whole place, luckily it was available that day otherwise I would suggest to always pre book as this place is always occupied. It is located on a small hill, 3 rooms are there along with a kitchen and a small terrace. Best place for families planning a stay in coorg, highly recommended.
