Thatched Roof CABIN IN THE WOODS! The Forest is at your doorstep at this Hilltop Cottage with high open ceilings and rustic decor. Two Queen size beds and 4 Attic beds, Patio/ Sit-out with mountain views all around. Trek to the mountain top, stroll to the waterfall, capture the exotic wildlife. The camera is your best companion here. It’s living in the Forest, the Forest is right at your doorstep at this Hilltop Forest Camp. You can’t get more closer to Nature. The sounds that you hear here are of chirping birds, calls of Hornbills and other exotic birds and singing of Cicadas. The Twin cottage made from eco-friendly materials has a private entrance and a Patio to sit back and soak in the view and nature. The cottages offer all around view of the Pushpagiri mountains and dense Forest. You can choose to trek 15 to 20 mins leading to one of the most spectacular views of the Western Ghats or Trek through the Tea Plantation to a private waterfall which cascades down all through the year. There are many mountain springs and rivulets in the estate and adjoining areas. However, it is advisable not to venture out after dark and always inform the caretaker if there is a pressing need to venture out of the estate after dark. Overview: The plantation is surrounded by Pushpagiri Forest Reserve. Access to the property is through a freshly asphalted road through the scenic village of Galibeedu and lush green paddy fields and dense foliage. You cross through a dam, rain fed waterfalls, and some scenic landscapes. Note: The property is in a remote location with poor network connectivity. The guests can use our landline to make and receive important calls. Although it’s in a wild and remote location, it’s completely safe and the care taker is an ex-service man is more than able to handle any situations.

Thank you for your kindness n hospitality. You made our trip that special. Everything was perfect, specially the food. One thing which I would suggest to increase the feel good factor being, cleaning of room on a daily basis. Rest, everything remains unchanged.

From other reviews I can see that people actually enjoyed this place. Experience was not so good for my family of 4. Maybe lot depends on requirements. Biggest disadvantage for us was Location. It is located around 13kms from main city, worst part was road was very narrow and under construction with no street lights. No mobile network. Rooms were smelling damp due to grass roof. We were unable to open windows for ventilation as there was no net over windows and mosquitoes and flies came in as was in jungle. Good part was tasty food, courteous staff.

Dear Sakshi, Thank you for staying with us. Am glad you liked the food and service. The USP of the property has always been the pristine location (jungle) and the absence of mobile network. Our guests including you are informed about this prior to booking. There are no mosquitoes naturally at the property. There are insects that get attracted to lights but they are all harmless. We have insect mesh installed now. Road : A freshly laid Tar Road is available now and any vehicle can comfortably reach the property now. Thank you

We reached the homestay in the evening at around 5 pm and were delighted to see the location and the pristine forests surrounding it. It had rustic interiors and was very clean. It was a spacious cottage which can easily accommodate around 8 people. The food was the highlight of this place. We opted for non veg meal and fell in love with the food. It was generous in quantity and the best tasting home cooked food. We trekked a beautiful mountain guided by Khushi, our host's family member. It was a surreal experience soaking in the surrounding views as climbing up the mountain. The next day we were guided by Khushi to a hidden waterfall which had only us and 2 pet dogs(they always kept us company :). The waterfall was shallow and the water clean and we all had a great time. We also visited some well known tourist attractions during our stay there but the mountain climbing and the hidden waterfall will stay in our memories forever. No network is in my view is an added advantage of the place. It goes with the overall theme of the home stay. Relax and unwind. Would love to go there again.

The staff is full of hospitality. View is very good. Bonfire available. There is are two cottages and a farmhouse which has three rooms and a common hall. Hot water is available. There are 2 friendly pets as well. It is 13 kms away from Madikeri - in the extreme interiors. No network at all. Landline is available to make calls. Google maps will lead you to a point and then it loses network. You need to further follow the road to reach the homestay. You need to head back by 6 pm to the place since it gets dark. This would be a drawback to stay in the interiors. The roads are bad though. It is an apt place for one night stay where you can cut off from the network and regular hustle bustle.
