The conclusion of a wonderful week of safari. Loved the lodge and its amazing chef. The tent was very comfortable and the attached bathroom stylish and wonderful. We had one raining day and lodge staff went out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable. I will return.
Make sure when booking what room you're getting as some of the rooms are a fair distance from the dining room and all up hill. Also make sure to take a torch as it's pretty dark getting back to your room.
We were a group of seven from the US. We loved the accommodations with the beautiful views from our decks particularly with our coffee in the morning watching sunrise! The food was outstanding as well as the service! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the pool overlooking the national park relaxing in the afternoons. Several of us did the bike ride around the lodge which was quite enjoyable. We stayed here at the end of our Uganda trip and would definitely recommend the lodge to anyone traveling to see the gorillas or chimpanzees!
Very friendly and welcoming lodge. A lovely, relaxing end to our holiday in Uganda. The staff, Topi, Melon and Rona were all fun and very efficient. The food was excellent- the vegetarian options were delicious. The rooms were lovely and we had a verandah overlooking the waterhole. The bush babies were gorgeous
We first visited here 10 years ago but only had a short night here before going on to the Gorillas, so this time we made sure we had a longer stay as we knew this was a special place....and it certainly didn't disappoint. From first arrival and seeing the bushbaby - which we missed last time- the mainly female staff could not have been more open, friendly and helpful...despite our best attempts to keep arriving late or last to meals due to the amazing environment outside the camp. With the stunning location on the hill and unique designed lodges supported by the open eating area and pool/bar this was a lodge you could easily spend all day in just relaxing...but with guided walks, night drives and quiet viewing there was a strong call of the wild as well so it was a hard choice getting the balance right...but in a positive way. Best view in the house from our lodge was on the loo!!…
This was the first stop on our Uganda Safari. While we were not that impressed by Lake Mburo NP, this lodge was so lovely that it made this stop so worth it! The sunrise views from the room were unbelievable - we had our coffee delivered and watched the stunning sunrise from our own huge terrace. The views from the dining area are amazing too - we could see a lot of zebra and baboons at the watering hole below. The service was amazing, and we were sad to leave!
Just stunning. From the room fully open including the bathroom to the outside with an amazing view to the the restaurant and pool. Views are absolutely stunning. Food were great too. As regularly in Uganda, staff were very welcoming. We wish we would have spent more nights there.
Amazing lodge with fantastic view, great food, the sweetest staff, unique individually designed rooms, and extraordinary service. Make sure to pick a room with as low a number as possible- the hike to your room may otherwise be as challenging as the gorilla tracking…
We stayed two nights at the Mihingo Lodge and it was the best hotel we stayed at during our two weeks tour in Uganda. First of all, the rooms are beautiful, super clean, very nicely decorated, every detail is thought of and we loved the mix between tent and room. The rooms are created on the rocks and blend nicely with the environment. They are very seperated from each other, so you enjoy a lot of privacy and don't get any noise . The place and the views are magical and really surpassed our expectations. The bathroom is stunning with a lot of hot water and good water pressure. The food was abolutely incredible with a mix of ugandan and international dishes. We did a community walk with a guide from the hotel (Meron) and loved the experience. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, spoke excellent english and we will never forget the experience. Last but not least we would like to thank and recommend the staff at Mihingo Lodge. They are so passionate about their work, so friendly and professional at the same time and they care deeply about their guests. Everybody was so lovely, so hardworking, they kept asking how we we were, what they could do and if we needed anything. We could tell their interest was coming from their hearts, They had a very rare mixture between professionalism and kindness that you rarely find. Thank you Topi, Clea, Meron and all the others! We recommend staying 100% at Mihingo Lodge, it will be a unique and beautiful experience!…
Nice staff, wonderful views from the pool and from the tower. The Bush babies are adorable! The ride on the lake would be great if you’ve just arrived but as this was our last stop, it was a little long. This is a great place to stop on the way to/from Bwindi.
