Located near the Market, you won't find a better location to sleep. Staff is nice here and rooms are relatively huge and if you're lucky you can catch a view over the Indian Ocean. The best part of it though, is that it's not expensive - even if you book a room with a fan.

Unclean and unsafe. Bathrooms are moldy, rooms lack bed nets, and towels serve as sheets on some beds. Last time i stayed i left phone to charge at reception because electrical outlet in the room didnt work. Next morning the charger was missing. Manager refused to refund the missing charger and told me to go to the police if i had...

The Ocean breeze hotel was ideal. It was in my budget as a British person living in Zanzibar. Very central. A boat trip direct to Tanga from Pemba. Rooms fine., restaurant available - you won't starve ! Next to the market. near amenities like a VERY clean Bank with 5 star toilet, helpful staff and interesting customers.( Have you ever...

Staff is not friendly, nor helpful. Rooms and cleanliness really need to improve. Price is low , 15000 TSH for a single room, however we can find cleaner places for the same price. Breakfast is not available.

Good things about this place - centrally located, good fans, slept well, there are places you can hang washing, and some rooms have nice balcony (some with views). It's also very cheap (we paid TSH 15,000 for a double). OK, if you are fussy about things like TV working or being able to close the window this ain't for you.....

This was really good value - at 15000 shillings for a double room. We stayed her a couple of times (using as a jump off point for visiting Pangani) and both rooms were comfortable, although the plumbing in the bathrooms was pretty awful. Doesn't include breakfast, and Tanga seems to have a lack of restaurants (or at least - none...

Very basic hotel for very low rate. Location and price are the most positive aspects. The hotel is close to the central market, this also makes it a bit noisy during the night due to the traffic and people talking loud. The rooms are poorly maintained, we could not close the windows of our room, sheets seemed very old and...

Good located in the centre of the city gives value for money: clean room but a lack of maintenance and the staff looks not very happy. Restaurant next to it and close to bank, market and shops. Also close to the sea but a harbour in stead of a beach. With the reception you find also a small sympathic tour...

I was travelling alone but the staff put me in a twin room (massive...for one person) and I just paid half. Located opposite the market, in a good area of town. TV in room, own bathroom, balcony, big comfortable beds (THICK MATRESSES...no foam) and the staff are lovely and helpful. Good price compared to what I've paid elsewhere in 'major...

I got a room on the 4th floor here. There was indeed ocean breeze, which felt great, especially in the evenings - no A/C necessary! I had a huge balcony. The bathroom was not clean, but it was usable. Staff was friendly. The place was very peaceful - I wasn't feeling well so spent most of the day and a...
