Had a brilliant time at The Danna, the staff was very helpful, tours were pre coordinated and we had a brilliant time! Facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Food in the Italian restaurant was delicious and we really enjoyed the view.
An amazing stay thanks to the GM Mr Karan Singh and his amazing team. Everyone had a blast! The staff were super nice and helpful. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit to the Danna as soon as possible!
Just spent a week at The Danna which has been our first real holiday since the world shut in 2020. The Danna was a good relaxing place to stay. The people, facilities, room were perfect. The people there were so nice. The cold towel and quick neck massage at arrival was brilliant. Food was hit or miss. Breakfast Buffet was average at best. We had dinner twice at Terrace and that was great. We were unable try Planters menu as all week was a buffet. We had that twice, The offerings were very good but would have been nice to try their normal menu. The only negative is the location. This needs to be taken into consideration when researching Langkawi. If you are used to Seminyak or Koh Samui & being able to walk from the property for a different lunch / dinner option , go to Bar or massage etc, The Danna is literally in the middle of nowhere. There is absolutely nothing around the property. It’s about a 20min drive to Kampung Lubok Buaya or about 35 to Kuah if you want to go try something else.…
Love our stay!!!We brought our 6 months old baby and everything was taken care perfectly!! We even got baby cot,bottle steriliser!!! All the staffs were so friendly and amazing..The cocktails at the bar was tasty..the best ever pina coloda made my Miss Khadijah..the Italian restaurant food was tantalising.the chef made the food perfectly..the waiter Azrul have an amazing service..so friendly breakfast was another thing to boast about!!! So yummy and it's a Champagne breakfast!!! Who wouldn't love it..beautiful large rooms..thank you so much for making our stay memorable..will definitely come again.
From the get go - The comfortable car pick up was awesome. I was offered a cold towel as soon as i settled in the car. Upon arrival we were treated to a shoulder massage and a refreshing welcome drink. The room i stayed in was luxurious, comfortable and huge. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to wake up to. The bathroom was also very pretty. I had a large balcony facing the Marina. Gorgeous sight. I took a swim in their wonderful pool after a long day of working. My only comment is that the pool water can be a little too warm. The food served at their restaurants were pretty good with excellent service. All in all i had a superb stay at the Danna. I will definitely come back for more.
Excellent hotel for relax staying. If transportation between hotel to airport and hotel to Chunan Beach is able to prepare for guest, it would be fine. And It's a pity, shopping mall in front of hotel has been closed due to COVID19.
We had a wonderful time here as a family. Service was amazing from the time we arrived to leaving. Room is spacious and clean, the pool is huge and they also have a private beach. Although the hotel may be fully booked, you don’t get the sensation of it being “crowded” which is a plus point. Food wise- lovely Italian food at the Terrace and a decent selection at the other dining facilities.
Hotel room is great with super big bathroom! We went couple spa, my husband love it. The staff have very professional smile on their face. Food was super yummy and environment is great. They have valet service if you are driving. Peaceful beach and great sea/beach view.
I could type chapter & verse about this place, from the moment the chauffeur met us at the airport to the moment they dropped us off. But you'd all get bored come the end of the review. So I'll pick a few key points. 1. The rather large villa not only had a huge high ceiling & windows galore but was ridiculously spacious. 2. the hospitality offered by the hotel was nothing short of amazing. Free laundry service & could not do enough for the customer. 3. The cleaning regime was spot on, as well as cleaning not only our villa pool but the hotel pool too, with attention to detail on clearing leaves that had fallen to the bottom. Incl sweeping the grass & again clearing any leaves etc 4. The breakfast buffet would accommodate any food requests, as well as offering any drinks incl. Champagne 5. The beach was swept daily (as per photo attached) & the weather as a whole for April going into May held out for us & only had a few showers. Would I recommend the additional flight from Malaysia mainland to go the Langkawi 7 more-so The Danna, FOR SURE…
Currently on my 3rd out of 5 days here Staying in the Countess Suite. Very big and nice but can't help noticing something. There is only one tissue box in the whole suite. Whenever you need a piece u have to go the bath to get it. Did room service mostly. Limited local flavor choices which is a problem for me as my mother can't stomach most of the food Now the part that bugged me the most is the lack of discipline from the guests. I understand Langkawi is a tourism destination and The Danna I would say have at least 80% expat guests. The thing I don't understand is the serious lack of using the face mask and staff turning a blind eye to it I see people without masks chatting in front of food at breakfast buffer line, God knows what's flying out of their mouth Told one of the staff they need to inform guests and he said most guests forget. Well it's your responsibility to remind. In other hotels I have been to especially the Shangri La chains they will tell u to don your mask. Here in Langkawi well I guess that just dont happen. Little wonder there was an outbreak sometime back in one of the top 5-stars hotel here. So that's why you are getting a rating of only 3 from me …
