Great place to stay for a week if you were thinking of touring around Normandy. Caen bear by plus all the Normandy beaches. Excellent rooms historic priory and great hospitality. Dave looks after you and prepares all the food himself and local food it is. Definitely worth a stay and will repeat in the future

If you are looking for a b&b in rural Normandy, look no further than the Priory at Gouvix. Owned and run by David, this beautiful old priory has been sympathetically renovated and restored. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is everything you expect from a good French breakfast. Your 15 minute breakfast warning comes in the form of...

We stayed at this B&B and loved it! David was an interesting host and cooked meals that I had dreamed of having while in France. His suggestions for places to visit were excellent. Our visit was in a relaxed rural setting. I have highly recommended it already to my friends who may take the opportunity to stay at the Priory.

This is a fabulous building full of character -- very old, but refurbished so that everything works well (you get instructions on the plumbing!) and the furniture (all locally sourced) and decoration (e.g. beautiful bed covers inspired by Navaho designs) add to its charm. David, the owner, is a marvellous cook (excellent dinner and breakfast), well-informed and interesting on all...

A wonderful old house set in beautiful grounds. Great location just south of Caen, close to Normandy D-Day beaches. David is a fine host and will make you very welcome. The house is charming, clean and quirky and is full of character. We arrived on motorcycles (park them in the barn if you wish) and shared a great alfresco meal...

We were so at home at this wonderful bed and breakfast! David is quite the host and did everything possible to make us comfortable. He gave us some good tips about the Normandy area and the D-Day beaches. He cooked for us both nights we were there, and boy does he know his way around a kitchen. Yummy dinners both...

We were a party of three school friends who have taken up cycling in our sixties. This was our first cycling holiday and we chose Normandy to combine our cycling with a tour of the D Day beaches. Our accommodation was booked by Hugh and what a perfect choice. The Priory is a 250 year old dwelling converted to a...

My family and I stayed last week with David in his beautiful bed and breakfast in the French countryside. We're not your typical B&B patrons, with a motley crew of toddlers and extended family, but David made us feel delightfully comfortable. The property itself is set out from the hustle and bustle and promises a quiet night of rest in...

We arrived to be greeted by a welcome cold beer after a long journey. The huge French house is nestled next to the church in large garden surroundings. The food was absolutely exquisite accompanied by great chatter, wine and a lovely relaxed setting. We couldn't have asked for more. Loads of local info to go through if you are short...
