We took a detour from Able Tasman National Park via Hamner Springs en route to Christchurch and are we glad we did! We found Mike and Lizzie's wonderfully appointed cottages which have been thought about in great detail in order to provide luxury and comfort to guests. Mike and Lizzie are generous hosts who go the extra mile to ensure...

From the moment you turn off the main road into Hanmer Springs and travel down Woodbank Road, you just know the cottages are going to be amazing. All was confirmed the moment we pulled into the property. The gardens are beautiful, the cottages private and the setting just relaxed. We met Mike and Liz and after Mike showed us through...

Woodbank Park Cottages is by far the best place to stay in Hanmer Springs. Close to town, but far enough to here notting than the wind in the trees and some sheep. After 9 weeks travelling on the south island, this was our last home away from home, a perfect place for 3 nights to say goodbay to New Zealand,...

This is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Everything is thought of and of excellent quality. The products they supplied such as toiletries and tea and coffee etc were all New Zealand products which was a nice touch. We were very comfortable and the setting is lovely surrounded by forrest. It was only a short drive...

We stayed at Woodbank park cottages in July this year and couldn’t have asked for anything more. We arrived just on dark and the owners(mike and Liz) had stoked and lit our fire for us making sure our cottage was toasty warm. The cottages were well set out with everything you needed, including kitchen facilities, BBQ, outdoor seating and the...

Wow - wn\hat a beautiful place to spend a few nights. The family run operation is very low key, but in a homely welcoming kind of way. There are two cabins, which are far enough apart from each other to give a feeling of isolation. Our cabin was nearest the main homestead, but there were plenty of trees and shrubs...

We were not disappointed, as we arrived Mike met us with a platter of cheeses, crackers and salami, the fire was so the cottage was toasty warm. A great start to a great stay. The...
