great place to stay in Mancora, right in front of the beach and a short walk from the main street with restaurants and "tiendas". Breakfast is good with a selection of eggs, bread, jelly, coffee and a fresh fruit juice. I didn't need anything more! They offer great cocktails as well, having a formidable restaurant next door serving the hotel...

It is located in a quieter side of town. Right in front of the surf break! If you don't surf then you will have to walk about 100 meters away to swim. Many surfers are beginners and don't know how to control the board away from the crowd. There is no restaurant on premise, I thought there was... Breakfast was...

I stayed in mancora for 10 days at don Giovanni's over the Christmas and New Years. Everything was smooth sailing from the get go until time to leave. The rooms are super comfortable and sound proofed to ensure a good nights sleep if needed. Downstairs the bar and restaurant is literally on the beach ..the waves come right up on...

Location of the hotel is good. We stayed two nights. I guess for the standards of Mancora the hotel is decent but very simple. The room is minimalist with a bed and a bed table. You have to ask reception if your price covers or not the air conditioning. You also have to fight for another towel and also for...

We stayed in Don Giovanni hotel from Friday, December 26 to Monday 28 (2015) - Nice 3-day weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the beachfront hotel. The temperatures were in the upper 80's F (89 on Saturday) and low/mid 70's at night. The hotel is not a/c's, but not too much of a problem with the patio doors open,...

Best thing is the location - you walk right out on to the beach. However they only have a few rooms with beach view, most are internal ones. Very good breakfast and the rooms are ok. Has a backpacker vibe and feel (albeit a fancy one).

I booked this hotel via booking.com and was impressed by some of the reviews. Many of which recommended that I upgrade from the cheap room that was standard if you book via a hotel website. So I cancelled my last night at the hotel (cause I realized I needed to be in Piura for my flight so many hours beforehand...

We visited Don Giovanni and after we ordered drinks and food, we used the sunbeds in front of the restaurant. It took 30 minutes to bring our fruitjuices and another 30 minutes to bring the nachos. I walked in to ask where the toilet was, and a woman said on a really aggressive tone that I need to order something...

We went to Mancora for 2 weeks to kite and surf. Don Giovanni exceeded our expectations all around. The location is likely the best in Mancora, 20meters from the water and the surf break is directly out front. We could wake up and see if there was surf without leaving the grounds, then when the wind picks up you rig...
