Sorry to hear that someone earlier had a not-so-good experience here. Ours was just the opposite. We were in a third floor room that was more than adequate. Very comfortable king bed and incredibly quiet - even with the window open and a nice breeze coming in. We are both short so the small areas of the ceiling that are...

On our fifth night of a two week Canadian Maritime B&B extravaganza, we selected to book two rooms at the Georgetown Historic Inn on Prince Edward Island. We chose this location due to its proximity to the Wood Island Ferry which would take us the next morning back to Nova Scotia. We called earlier in the morning to also make...

Based on your review the 17 hours you spent here was more than adequate. We are surprised that one check-in ahead of you would cause a 'pent up situation'. We hope that your wife and the other couple your were travelling with appreciated the complimentary breakfast I had ready for all of you before the restaurant opened. I will talk...

We went here for dinner while in that area of Nova Scotia. There were not many choices in town, and when we got there, we were so pleasantly surprised. The menu, while limited was creative and offered good, local seafood. The lobster pie was great! And the haddock was cooked to perfection. The blueberry shortcake for dessert was light and...

The Captain's Room was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The food and service were both good as well. The inn is always bustling, so sometimes we felt we lacked privacy, somewhat. (The Fownes popped into our room to grab some chairs when we were out, which was a bit...

The Highland Room was a hike up two flights of stairs but the large room had everything we could possibly need or want, including a flash light AND a night light so that we wouldn't stub our toes in the dark. Good WIFI, comfy king sized bed, historic inn with vintage furnishing, restaurant on site, and free breakfast included. What...

We stayed at the Inn 5 nights, 1 on the Heritage, and 4 in the Acadian. Everything is made to make you feel like home: the rooms have a good size with an independent bathroom, the beds are very comfortable , you have a very good internet connection, a tv in each room with the cable, air conditioning. In the...

Just what you want from an inn. Warm and welcoming staff, comfortable pretty room, delicious food from the kitchen (local mussels and oysters in the evening, for example and luxurious complimentary breakfast in the morning!). We were looking for a quieter side of PEI that would allow us to explore the island at our own pace and leave lots of...

We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights while attending the Island Folk Music Festival, Cloggeroo, and both the room and the dining were terrific. Tastefully decorated, very comfortable linens. Bathroom was tiny and really could use an update but was spotless and completely functional. Appreciated that the owners provided a fridge for guest use on the second floor so...

Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was provided at on-site restaurant. Food was typical of restaurant breakfast. Very much enjoyed spending the night in this small fishing town. For those bicycle touring like us, the only drawback was having to lock the bikes outside versus a...
