Heather was so welcoming and helpful! Lovely comfy room with a fantastic view over the harbour: Highland-themed soft furnishings and a wee whisky added an extra-special touch. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to a day's travelling. The ideal place to stay at the end of the West Highland Line: only a 5 minute walk from Mallaig train station.

All credit to Heather, it was a pleasure to stay and a great welcome to the western reaches of Scotland. From our anticipated arrival to the beautiful aspect over the bay, can't fault the hospitality we received in Mallaig !

We stayed one night in Mallaig before catching the ferry to Skye. This guest house was the perfect place. The rooms were clean and well provisioned and with a view of the harbor. The host, Heather, provided a "wee dram" in each room which we enjoyed after dinner in the guest lounge overlooking the harbor. The breakfast was very good...

Situated in a perfect spot overlooking the harbour we stayed here for 3 nights and found Heather to be incredibly accommodating. Room was spotless and bed very comfy. Breakfast was to order and cooked to perfection. I tried the kippers which are locally caught and smoked, and tasted delicious. All in all a superb weekend.

Last minute booking due to delayed ferry. Very warm welcome from Heather. Room (for three) clean, tidy and well equipped. Excellent breakfast. Heather even catered for two members of our party who were staying elsewhere. All staff were polite and friendly The house is well decorated and cared for and in an excellent location overlooking the harbour.
