We drove from Thurso, needing to catch a flight from Aberdeen Airport the next day. We drove through the stunning vista of the Cairngorm Mountains and found Veronica and John's B&B easily enough - which is just about a first since our arrival in the UK eight days earlier. This is a beautiful property, our twin room was comfortable and...

Finding Lynturk even thwarted our GPS, but a very nice woman gave us excellent directions and we eventually made our way to their front door. We had been driving all day in the rain, but when we rounded the curve and the house emerged, we knew it had been worth the effort. The house is a beautiful old two story...

Our visit to Lynturk didn't start out promisingly: it was very dark and the satnav postcode directions took us to the wrong place entirely. I had to knock on a door in the middle of nowhere for fresh directions since my mobile had long since given up any pretence of searching for a signal. Luckily, the woman who opened the...

We were made to feel like family, in an unobtrusive way, in this superbly comfortable beautiful old family property. We enjoyed walking in the stunning Aberdeenshire countryside and would have loved to stay longer. Dinner was a treat and a lovely way to round off a fascinating 2 weeks in Scotland and the Orkney Islands.

I was booked into the Lynturk by a colleague who had stayed here many times whilst working in Aberdeen. You do wonder what kind of place it is going to be as you drive up the un-metalled road through a wood. The property is an impressive structure built of Aberdeen granite set in amazing country side. Excellent safe car park...

During the past 7 years I have stayed at the Lynturk during business trips to Aberdeen. 20 minutes from the 'Oil town' you'll find this hidden gem. Excellent hosts, beautiful scenery and the best nights sleep you'll ever have, what more could you want? Oh, a special little dog to greet you :-) Enjoy

We have stayed here at least once a year since this wonderful Wolsey Lodge opened about ten years ago. John and Veronica always give such a wonderful welcome with tea in their antique filled drawing room. When we have stayed in for dinner it has always been delicious using fresh local ingredients. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with...

This B&B is in an old rambling farmhouse in the middle of fields, but close by to many attractions. Also good basis for visiting Scottish Castle Trail. This B&B has only 3 rooms, which were former Childrens's Rooma but have lots of charme. Once we got there we were greeted by very friendly hosts and give a warm welcome. We...
