We stayed in cottage one and my parents in cottage 2. Very dated and shower/bathroom is dreadful! Either hot or cold and the shower head is off the taps and over the bath (in both cottages). Nothing matches in the kitchen and the microwave was one of the first ones ever on the market. It was clean, warm and dry... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Cross Farm. The cottage was lovely, every detail has been thought about, from the fully equipped kitchen to the soft furnishings, all chosen with comfort in mind. We arrived a little early but this wasn't a problem and received a warm welcome from Janet and John. Janet was lovely, we didn't see her but... More

We have just returned from 6 nights staying at Cross Farm and we cannot rate it more highly. Arriving late on a Friday night with my brother to meet my parents who were already there, we were met by Janet and felt immediately welcomed. We stayed in the largest of the cottages and could not have been more happy with... More

We have just spent a week at Cross Farm Barn Cottages There were 6 of us including two seven year old girls. The conversions have been carried out to a high standard and both properties were clean and fully equiped. The owners Janet and John Armitage were very pleasant and helpfull. I have no hesitation in recommending these properties.

My husband and I phoned at the last min, from Cornwall, looking for a base in Holmfirth for the week. I was going to spend time with my family whilst he went on a course in Nottingham for some of the time. I arranged to have my mother for a few days also - as part of the booking, this... More

We have just spent two weeks at Cross Barn Farm Cottages while visiting relatives in the area. We rented 3 cottages to accommodate our extended family members. Janet was extremely helpful from start to finish and we had a great time. Everything was really convenient and the cottages well equipped for our needs. We hope to visit again in the... More

We stayed again over Christmas and New Year at the cross barn farm. The cottage was freshly refurnished and everything was brand new. We had everything we needed, Janet was as usual really friendly. Our 16 months old son loved it, especially the calves.

I have just returned from a stay at Cross Barn cottages with my small dog, and find it very difficult to relate some of the reviews to the place I stayed at. The cottage was very clean with adequate equipment. Janet and John were very friendly and helpful and certainly not intrusive. Cross Barn toFarm is a working farm. The... More

I stayed at cross farm during last summer, the accommodation was homely, cosy and clean. Must I add, the owners, Mr and Mrs Armitage were lovely people who made our stay incredibly enjoyable and I would definitely go back! the negative comments are rude and unreasonable, I had no problems what so ever ,travelling with my daughter of 3 years...
