VERY friendly welcome, excellent dinner, comfortable room and great breakfast for our one-night stay at The Wookey Hole Inn. Everyone was most welcoming from check-in to departure, we enjoyed a splendid dinner from an extensive menu in the restaurant, a great selection of continental beers and a great nights sleep in a large room with a comfortable bed. With just...

Went to visit Wooky Hole and arrived with a hungry family, we went into this place to grab a bite to eat. Nice place inside although toilets were a bit shabby (and I don't mean shabby chic, I mean shabby) I had the sausage and caramelised onion ciabbatta which was very tasty although the onions weren't as caramelised as you...

On a recent west country trip, my 11-year-old son and I stayed at the Wookey Hole Hotel. It was an OK place but, oddly, had no restaurant service available in the evening. They proposed The Captain's Table, part of the Caves attraction opposite. We had already investigated - and rejected - this place earlier in the day so opted, instead,...

We were staying across the road at the Wookey Hole Hotel for a few days recently and called in one lunchtime at the Wookey Hole Inn just for a pint and a sandwich. We were so very impressed with the lunchtime snack menu food and service that we chose to eat there that evening as well. Again the food and...

Very friendly atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating to our daughters many allergies. The food choice was varied. The specials were great. All food locally sourced. The food cooked to a very high standard. The puddings were too die for. The price was very reasonable would visit again.

The food here is gorgeous and is really well presented. There is a broad knowledge of foods suitable for people on a gluten free diet. Absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. Good veggie choice too.

We had our wedding reception and lunch here. The tables were nicely laid, the food was exceptional ( we were told by friends, that they had never had such a super wed- ding lunch ). There were about 40 of us and Richard and his staff did so well. Highly recommended. Friends and family who stayed at the Inn were...

Whilst the accommodation can best described as quirky, It was a little "tired" and in need of decoration, some interesting features but expensive for the level of accommodation offered. Breakfast is served in a basket and left out side the bedroom door being very limited to pastries, fruit, juice and cereal, coffee and tea making is already available in the...

This was our second visit to the Wookey hole Inn. This time, we stayed 2 nights and brought friends. We hoped the Inn hadn't changed as we did sell it to our friends as a top place to weekend. No disappointments to be had, Excellent food and beers, first class hospitality from Richard and his family/staff, still as funky and...
