We have spent many evenings at the wookey hole inn as a couple and with friends. It's a friendly place with a good selection of drinks and food. Try the scotch eggs they are fantastic. Log fires in the winter and a great beer garden in the Somer and warmer evenings. Parking and a lovely beer garden.

The food was good but the wait for it was unreasonably long. I could accept that for freshly cooked mains but how long does it take to put a slice of cheesecake on a plate? It was not worth the wait when it arrived, being oddly salty, and accompanied by rather chewy and way too "lemony" marshmallows.

The inn has a lovely feel and is well worth a visit. Forgot to say about the puddings which tasted amazing, lemon cheesecake...
