Thanks for your review. It's good to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and managed to find parking close by. The outdoor heated swimming pool is seasonal (opens end of May to early September) and is definitely worth a try if you are ever back in the area!

This is a fantastic well equipped, well managed and friendly hostel. We did the Yorkshire Three Peaks & it is about ten minutes away from the starting point. The hostel is close to the shops, pubs and restaurants in Ingleton.

Lovely setting - leafy and calm yet central in the village with a large village playground, quiet river paddling, lovely chippy and outdoor pool on the doorstep (check opening times). Very near the start of the Ingleton waterfalls and an easy walk from the bus stop (beware of Sunday bus times out of season!). Staff were relaxed, organised, knowledgeable and...

We have just spent our first night in a hostel and we were so impressed we know it won't be our last! The hostel at ingleton offers a great base for exploring the stunning north Yorkshire scenery. Great walks on the doorstep for all abilities. The hostel itself was very clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the kids...

Ingleton youth hostel is excellent. I have visited the hostel on a number of occasions and each visit is better than the last. It is an excellent facility within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and a fantastic base for either exploring the Dales or doing the three peaks challenge. The sun-lounge that overlooks the Dale is superb, one can eat...

Decide to make a little two day one night trip here with the kid's. Seeing as it's relatively close to where we love. The hostel is in a great location, with gorgeous grounds and scenery. The room was extremely spacious which was needed for the six of us and the bunks were very comfy. The kitchen was excellent. The staff...

What a gem this Independent Hostel proved to be! Tucked away in Ingleton with a outdoor swimming pool behind it (hopefully open next time we visit). Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Guy in kitchen (and on desk) was so helpful with everything including advice on how best to walk up Pen Y Ghent. Rooms and bathrooms were basic but...

Nice clean rooms, surprisingly comfy bunk beds, really good nights sleep. We took our own food and used the self catering kitchen, microwave a bit weak but not a problem, everything in the kitchen you could need. Nice tv lounge. Toilets really clean plenty of loo roll. Showers on the left side didn't have a strong water flow but the...

First visit to a youth hostel, stayed in several independent hostels and i have to say a very pleasant surprise. Stayed here one night on a road trip with a group of friends. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The self catering kitchen was big and well equipped. There are great communal areas for groups to sit around and relax. The car park is a little small - but then we were a group of 16, with 6 cars...

Thank you for your review and it's great to get your feedback. Unfortunately as you highlight, Ingleton Hostel is not ideally suitable for guests in wheelchairs as all bedrooms are on the first floor, we do not have a lift and even the ground floor does has steps as you point out. I am pleased to hear that it didn't...
