Stayed here with my wife and a few other couples whilst attending a wedding in the area. The couple who run it are very friendly and extremely helpful. Gave us lots of information on the local area in a phone call prior to getting there, including recommending where to have dinner, then rescued one of the party who forgot his...

Me and my partner stayed here along with 4 other couples for 2 nights. The couple who run the B and B were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them (things like an early check in and late breakfast). The bar was well stocked and was a serve yourself bar along with an honesty book....

Positives - helpful service, good breakfast. Host drove us to Helmsley because we coulnd't find a taxi on a bank holiday. I usually rave about places I have been to but I found the need to ask for cookies, tea in the room, jam or honey etc for breakfast is not a totally hospitable approach to running a B&B. The...

Very warm welcome from Chris, who made us a lovely Yorkshire tea and flapjack on arrival. Our twin room was cosy. We had tea making facilities, a hair dryer and a TV with DVD player. There were at least a hundred DVDs to choose from on the landing. There is also a very cosy lounge with leather sofas an open...

Upon arriving at Plumpton Court we received a warm welcome and we were promptly shown to our room. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location of Plumpton Court is very peaceful and conveniently close to Helmsley. Breakfast was okay but not particularly memorable, overall this was a very agreeable experience.

Just stayed here for two nights, and we'd highly recommend it. Really comfortable rooms and beds, clean and tidy, the shower was small in our room but it's all you need! Can't fault breakfast, absolutely beautiful made with local produce. Family were really nice and very helpful - knew the best places to go. Helmsley is a two min drive...

Very nice little place with a nice welcome and fantastic service from Chris. Breakfast and morning fry up was very good, good eye for detail and nicely located for a relaxing break or to explore the moors or local towns. Good Value and highly recommended.

Just a couple of things stop me from giving Plumpton Court an excellent and they wouldn't stop me from staying again as it is a warm welcoming place. We had the king room which was extra per night but in my view the shower room lets it down. Far too cramped so this outweighs the extra you pay. Couldn't fault...

Warm Greeting from Chris and his staff. We managed to check in early by mutual agreement. Lovely spacious room (Little Fry-up) with a large bathroom and separate shower. Extremely clean, lovely bedding and beautiful fluffy white towels, not the normal grey hotel types! Bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Chris had sent us messages prior to our arrival informing...
