We wanted to see how our new rescue dog would cope with a hotel... and this was a great success. She could even have had a Full English Breakfast if she'd not been on a diet! Warm, comfy Room 5, only slightly marred by the cellar cooler motor running all night beneath the window. Needs more sound-proofing?

We stayed here for the night as was attending a wedding in Harome. We parked in the long stay car park which was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and let us check in early with us attending a wedding which was great! The room was clean, spacious and cosy and breakfast was...

Had a visit to Helmsley before going on to the Carpenter's Arms at Felixkirk and decided to have lunch at The Royal Oak. The food was excellent and the chips were the best I have had for ages. The beer was a little expensive at £3.60 a pint. It was a very cold day and the pub had a brilliant...

From walking through the door to saying goodbye nothing was too much trouble for any of the friendly professional staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable with good amenities, a really comfy bed and supervise bath. All this right in the centre of Helmsley. For breakfast there is a good selection and my full English was both beautifully cooked and...

Our hotel room was great!! Massive comfy bed, great coffee machine, nice bathroom. A big spacious room with everything you need! Breakfast was great!! Local produce and was so tasty. The reason I didn't give 5* is because of parking. There is parking outside the hotel but it's pay and display but there is free parking near by on the...

Full marks for this hotel. The hotel is set in a prime location in Helmsley Market place. I was impressed by other Trip Advisor reviews so we thought we would try it as a last minute Sunday night away from home. Booking online allowed us to choose the room we wanted to book (the hotel has 5 rooms), and we...

We stayed for 1 night in January in order to have dinner at the Star Inn in Harome. It's one of the few places in the area that allow you to stay 1 night. Our room was large, facing the market square. It was clean and well decorated with a great shower room. I liked the pod coffee maker. The...

A nice large room with modern furnishings, a modern en-suite and a large comfortable bed. Slightly noisy on a Saturday night from the bar below. Breakfast fine, but only had cereal tea and juice through choice.

We stopped here today for lunch, and it was absolutely delightful. The Steak and Ale Pie was piping hot, full of meat, the chips were delicious and it was a good sized portion. I'm told the Ham, Egg and Chips were equally as good, and again it was of the same ample proportion. The lounge where we dined had a...
