A pub with a great atmosphere! We arrived on a Sunday evening, which is ladies darts night! All good fun. Great food! Classic pub options on the menu & good serving sizes! & excellent beer! Ales & Peroni on draft!! Very friendly staff. We chose the standard double, a small room with a very comfy bed. Large shower, but electric...

Stayed at the Wheatsheaf for 2 nights in February. Would highly recommend a visit. Nice rooms, good food, warm, clean establishment with lovely staff. Our party consisted of 10 people and they reserved tables in order for us to all sit together for our meals. Can't fault this little gem, well worth a visit. Another plus, dog's welcome.

After a cold February walk on the hills above Wensleydale we were warmly welcomed and had an excellent meal (steak and ale pie for two of us, lamb's liver for another) with freshly cooked vegetables, washed down by my favourite ale, Black Sheep, with a lovely fire to keep the cold at bay.

We stayed at the Wheatsheaf for 2 nights. Friendly staff, very cosy - a lovely fire in the bar & log burner in the lounge. Our room was spacious and warm with everything we needed. Very nice food, not fancy but good pub food, which was hot with plenty of veg. We will certainly stay here again.

Stayed in a superior double at rear of the inn over looking car park and hills. Accommodation quality was of a very high standard for an Inn. Lovely blazing wood burner in lounge to welcome you in on a cold winter day. Plenty of choice for food. Nothing fancy here just good quality home cooking. Excellent location for visiting the...

We stayed at the Wheatsheaf for the weekend with our Springer Spaniel to do some walking. This is an amazing location for some beautiful walking in the Yorkshire Dales. We have stayed at 'dog friendly' hotels in the past only to arrive to a list of do's and don'ts! Not at the Wheatsheaf, they could not have been warmer or...
