Amazing food / gorgeous room / lovely hosts Ideal location & views. So many cute little touches that just made it perfect. Rich was a great host and couldn't do more for us. We ate there both evenings as the food was so good - thanks Debs! Close to great walks and mountain biking access. Will definitely be returning!

We spent the Easter long weekend at Grizedale with Richard and Debbie providing wonderful hospitality. Located alongside the Grizedale forest for walks, with a short drive to Hawkeshead and Coniston Water or local pubs for lunch or a drink. Grizedale Lodge served as a base for daily adventures walking amongst the local mountains and forests of the Lake District.

Thank you for your review. Grizedale Forest is a great location for exploring the immediate area or for travelling to anywhere in the Lake District and then returning to the tranquility at the Lodge. I hope you are able to return again sometime. All the best Richard

Beautiful lodge full of character and spotlessly clean and tidy. Richard and Deb are so very friendly and welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. We had activities planned at the Go Ape centre and the lodge is within two mins walking distance...ideal! Excellent base for many stunning walking routes too. Free parking and WiFi and a deliciously tasty breakfast...

This is a great B&B - more like a boutique hotel with individually designed bedrooms - shabby chic in style. A simple and stylish drawing room with a large balcony/terrace perfect for afternoon tea or a glass of wine before dinner. Dinner has to be pre booked and is home cooked and great value. Overall this is a brilliant find...

Richard and Debbie are the consummate hosts. We had 3 days in the Lake District in February and could not fault Grizdale Lodge. We stayed in room 8 and could not have wanted anything better. What a wonderful experience. Our own balcony, luxury room and knockout bathroom. We liked the shower so much I got Richard to give me all...

Beautifully situated in the Grizedale forest with stunning panoramic views, Grizedale Lodge provided us with a delightfully furnished large bedroom , home cooked food, including fresh bread and home-made jams, excellent dinners and two peaceful nights' sleep. Richard was very helpful , informative and friendly; the food Deborah cooked so delicious. We left feeling renewed, relaxed and rejuvenated!

Myself and my partner stayed here last night. It was perfect. We stayed in room 8 with the most fabulous 4 poster bed! I first noticed the wallpaper as I have the same at home, clearly we both have good taste! After a nice 7 miler In the damp rain, the bath was most inviting and it certainly helped warm...

Couldn't fault Richard's hospitality throughout our stay here. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits were ideal, also with a lovely selection of films, books, games and honesty bar serving alcoholic drinks. Room 2, with a double four poster bed made for the best nights sleep, with a lovely view of Grizedale forest from both windows. The bathroom with bath and shower...
