Air conditioning was a problem, if we turned it on high it rattled. The temperature also wouldn't go below 25 degrees in the room, we did raise this with reception and was told it would be looked at (it wasn't). Food by the pool in the snack bar had limited choice, the restaurant was definitely better and you could have meat cooked freshly which was always nice. The beds weren't great, we had two singles pushed together (double room seaview room). You literally only had to turn over and the bed would move inches across the floor (on castors). In fact my husband managed to fall in between them one night! Would probably book somewhere in Mogan next time as it's more to our taste (fishing harbour village) and the price point is the same.
First time we have stayed at this hotel. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good. Our room was perfect fantastic seaview and not overlooked. We found the staff worked very hard and were very welcoming. I would recommend going all inclusive, as we did and was great value.
Nice building,Stunning views.Excellent room, very clean However the shower was erratic in temperature & pressure. The lifts were inadequate and slow ,when they were not out of for maintenance . The breakfast fare was abundant but of very poor quality. The bars were insufficient staffed with a poor selection of drinks . Signage in the hotel poor, very easy to get lost Long queues at reception, queues at the bars, long queues at the available lifts. Daytime and night time entertainment sadly lacking. Please see this as constructive criticism.Room for improvement.
Lovely hotel! Fabulous infinity pool and facilities. Our room was open plan which means nothing is private. Staff friendly. Would recommend offering more in restaurant for gluten free or label as such to make it easier for those with coeliac
When I first arrived at the hotel it was around 10pm so I checked in and called reception from my room to say I had a pool room view but I had paid for a seaview, the lady said she couldn’t move me tonight, so I asked to speak to a manager which apparently wasn’t available till the morning. I went down to speak to reception in person and they said they haven’t got any sea view rooms available till the morning and said because as I didn’t book direct with them and booked with a agent that’s why it didn’t come up clear on the booking. I work as a hotel receptionist myself so thought that wasn’t right. They told me to come back in the morning and they can see if they can move me after breakfast when guest have checked out but only if some come available as new guest would be arriving so basically they had priority over a sea room view over me. So, i went down to reception after breakfast the next day and explained the situation to this older lady and she just said all rooms are the same and that I’m in the right room, also I had to twin beds pushed together and not a double bed. I believe they just told me this as I am a young women travelling alone so they could just get away with this and belittle me and tell me anything. I made friends with some couples in the few days I was there and on my last day I went to their room which they had a proper actual sea view, nothing like mine. They also had nice little extras like robes and slippers and a complimentary beach bag. I had paid for a seaview room which costs more money as you have the extras included in the room which I didn’t receive any as they fobbed me off to a standard pool room view. The entertainment at night was shocking. Just 2 singers sat down, they should at least be standing up moving around to make it a bit more exciting. If you wanted a strawberry daiquiri you had to pay for it but you could get a lemon daiquiri free of charge. The same as gin. Apparently in the past you didn’t have to pay for pool towels now if you wanted to change your pool towel daily you have to pay a fee. The hotel is amazing it’s self and has amazing views, just the little things that let it down. The photo shown is the view I should of got but instead has a bar and pool view and sea at a long distance…
