Though a short drive to Kinsale, we loved Seafield Farmhouse for that reason and more. Seafield Farmhouse is so peaceful and the views so incredible! It was lovely to see the cattle, chickens, dog and cats on the farm, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery....More
We visited this on our trip through ireland, and really liked the surrounding countryside and the house itself, in which we felt as if welcomed into someones home, and where taken care of by our hostess. We got very good value for our money, and...More
Warm and welcoming B&B with amazing views. Greeted by the gorgeous family dog first, and then made to feel absolutely at home with our two Labradors. No issues with allowing dogs into lounge, and no pet charges. Both of which are refreshing and made the...More
We stayed in a lovely big room with a beautiful view. Eileen was a great host, she was helpful and friendly. She made us a lovely breakfast before we got back on the road. The surrounding countryside is beautiful too.

I would agree with mtd330, get Eileen to give you advice on what to see/do, we had a stroll around the B&B and then went to a local game of hurling in Kilrittain, Eileen recommended the local pub for dinner and we had a nice meal there before heading to the game. We only stayed 1 night. From there we had a short stop in Clonakilty and sorry that we did not stay overnight as it looked like quite a vibrant town, lots of little restaurants and pubs. We stayed 2 nights in Caherdaniel, this is a great place from which to visit the Skellig islands, we love wildlife and if nature and wildlife interests you I would highly recommend a boat trip to the UNESCO site. You must book in advance, if you want to actually walk on the island, as they are limiting numbers due to preservation issues. Have a great trip, experiencing Ireland is a must .....
