Once again the hotel and the staff stood up to our demands. Rocabella is always our first choice in Santorini and especially this year was a special experience. We do not need to say much about the sunset and the cleanliness of the rooms because it is a constant value when someone visits Rocabella. We spent a fantastic four days vacation with our friends as the staff was very kind and the food especially delicious this year. Stood out with the presence of F&B manager Spyros as well as with his kindness and his smile stood out as he was always available to assist us with anything we need.
The perfect place to stay, eat and get great wedding service. Katerina been a huge support! Can’t thank her enough. Went so perfect! Definitely recommend them for any future visits. Perfect venue for any proposal with breathtaking views!
Absolutely amazing stay. The Rocabella is truly what I pictured for my Greek isle vacation. Located conveniently between Oia and Thira (15 minute Uber from both). Amazing staff. Everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Breakfast is amazing and included. The staff does their best to accommodate all types of dietary restrictions, so if you have any special needs just let them know. There are often BEAUTIFUL weddings on the property, and you can see them from 3 of the 4 pools. Would 100% stay here again. Side note: there is not a public hot tub, so if you want one (does get a little chilly at night) book a room with a private hot tub.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Rocabella in Santorini. We are a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and had a beautiful suite with a view of the Caldera from our room/balcony. The rooms are a nice size and the hotel offers so many amenities. It’s clean, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff is incredible. They were able to organize car rental, transportation, dinner reservations, etc. for us very quickly. The location is a bit away from town but we wanted the quiet at night and the amazing view, and got both at the Rocabella. We highly recommend it!!!
The Faulty Towers of Santorini! Beautiful location, lovely property but the service is nothing short of shocking. I don’t quite know where to begin but simple things, they offer cold coffees at breakfast but only after 10am (despite breakfast starting way earlier) as the bar doesn’t open till 10am and they don’t have the ice. Amazingly they find this a good excuse! The pool bar doesn’t have wine or ice but does have beer and spirits so if you want a beer but wife wants a wine it’s a wait, long wait, ages in fact. Plates and glasses just don’t get taken away either, literally we had some laying out for several hours and staff just kept walking past. Food (which is great when you get it) seems to come from reception area no matter where you are. It took over an hour to receive a couple of flat breads at the pool one day. I’m losing the will to write anymore to be honest but in summary find somewhere else if you expect decent service, even very basic service as this place just can’t deliver. This place needs some serious training of all staff. Would it stay here again? I can’t wait to leave!!!!!!…
This was our third time visiting the island and we always like to stay in different towns, on this occasion we chose Imerovigli since reading comments on this website, everyone spoke of the impressive sunsets of the Caldera. So we chose Rocabella thinking that it was a good option given the images on their page and the favorable comments they had. However, the experience was disappointing, it is overpriced for the service they offer and the facilities they have. We stayed in one of their largest rooms since we traveled with children and upon entering the room it had an outdated, neglected appearance, the closet doors were stuck, they were swollen due to lack of maintenance, I could not use the hair dryer in the main bathroom because when it was plugged the power went off in half of the room, we could never use the mini pool that the room has because it was very dirty and the water was extremely cold. At breakfast the options are limited, the waitresses always greeted us kindly but their service is very inflexible with simple things such as requesting some fried egg well cooked or asking for pancakes without all the elements they included, they answered was always "not possible because the chef says"... and some weird explanation. The rooms near the caldera lack of privacy since the terraces face the backstreet and people and service vehicles constantly pass by, interrupting the tranquility that you could be experiencing while sunbathing. The room service is deficient, to make a single delivery of what we requested, the person came back 3 times, once to deliver the dishes, another to deliver the cutlery and the third to deliver the drinks, the layout of the hotel doesn't make it easy to transport the service in carts, but they could think of another solution that doesn't make guests wait so long to be completed a single request. They definitely have no idea what it is to offer a luxury service, this accommodation is a 4-star hotel, very average the service they currently offer. They don't offer anything special that is worth paying for.…
My husband and I were supposed to get married at Rocabella in May 2020. Due to COVID, we had to postpone our wedding 3 times. I can't say enough about the staff and wedding planning team at Rocabella. The reservations team helped our guests book and rebook accommodations multiple times. The wedding planning team helped coordinate with our vendors to find new dates for us throughout the entire pandemic. 2 years later, we finally made it out to Santorini. The hotel is beautiful and you just can't beat waking up or laying out at the pool with the caldera view. The front desk helped us book ATV's (to be dropped off directly to the hotel), they made dinner and beach club reservations for us, made cab/transportation arrangements for us anytime we wanted to go somewhere like into town or to/from airport, they made spa reservations for us and all our friends. I can't say enough about how above and beyond they went in terms of service. We also arranged to take the Rocabella Yacht out for a 1/2 day cruise and it was probably my favorite day of the trip. Highly recommend booking their Omega II yacht. Totally worth the money. Our room was super nice with a living room and large patio with caldera view. We were able to host a smaller wedding celebration dinner one night with our friends and the food was delicious. As a COVID bride, we were sad to postpone our original wedding. But, we're so glad to finally make it out to Santorini. Rocabella's location is also great. It's not smack dab in the middle of Fira or Oia, where it's super crowded and busy. You have more privacy and more of a chill vibe at Rocabella. But, you can still get into Fira or Oia pretty easily. And the hiking trail is right outside the hotel, so you can walk to Fira or Oia. Rocabella also has their own parking lot, which made parking our ATVs very easy. We didn't have to struggle with parking. They have an ATM right outside the hotel, which made it easy to get cash anytime we needed it. It's the little conveniences that add up to a stress free vacation. The therapist at the spa gave us the best facial and massages of our lives. So impressed with the staff's support and thankful for their hard work throughout the past two years. We look forward to returning one day!…
It was an amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and polite. I don't have any words to describe this.I suggest you to visit Rocabella with no doubt. Can't wait for my next visit to this wonderful place!
The hotel is beautiful, the situation is perfect, the view is outstanding. Unfortunately the service is not good. The room was not clean with hair on the floor, we got towels that were never washed before and full of dust, the breakfast is not nice, the service is half half, not enough pool towels, and just don’t be there when there is a wedding because you can’t enjoy the main pool. Etc etc…. I don’t even want to think of it ! I am disappointed to have spend so much money for such poor service. When you charge more than 800 / night, you have to deliver accordingly.
I can’t say say enough about how nice ever ruins was. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. Kostas was super accommodating for a larger group. Highly recommend this hotel for a beautiful time in an amazing destination.
