Me and my wife came here in October for a getaway, it has beating all expectations we had. This hotel is simply beautiful. Everything is clean and well kept, the rooms are designed amazing. What makes this place the best is the staff, everyone is smiling and they always go out their way for you. Location wise it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, we hired a car (there are car rentals close by if you wanted to decide to hire one during your stay). At first we thought the location could be a downfall, then we realised that was its charm! The whole time here we felt totally disconnected and relaxed. Beautiful hotel with local nearby Cretan charm.

Hotel's Favourite
We moved to this hotel after an awful experience in another and I just needed to get out! This hotel was everything we needed! It’s so clean, the pool is cleaned daily. There’s plenty of big comfy sunlounger beds for guests. No need to reserve. The food is really nice we ate here one night. The rooms are lovely and we had a little stone house. The rooms smell amazing and the toiletries are really nice. Thank Happy Cretan for saving our holiday! ❤️

This is our fourth time visiting Happy Cretan Suites. We have truly found somewhere in Europe that we can visit and feel instantly comfortable and at home. The accommodation, especially the new suites opened this year, are very minimal and tasteful, and appealing to my architects eye, just as we like it. A good walk to the village but we enjoy the hike down there in the evenings. We have built up a lovely relationship with the excellent staff and will return again next year.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel prides itself on top-notch service. Dimitris, the owner, welcomed us warmly, setting a positive tone for our entire stay. A special mention to Vera for preparing a spotlessly clean and well-presented room for us. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed and was much appreciated. Our evenings were made all the more memorable thanks to the exceptional service from the restaurant team. Dimokratis, Afroditi, and Alexandros ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect, attentively looking after us throughout. Breakfast was another delightful experience. Margarita greeted us with a smile and took the time to explain the breakfast offerings. Her warm demeanor was a great way to start the day. Overall, our stay was an unforgettable one. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond, making us feel truly valued. Highly recommended!

Second time I stayed in this hotel. Stayed in the suite with the jacuzzi. Not very pleased this time as the jacuzzi was full with chlorine, could not sleep at night after breathing it. Breakfast is poor, no toast machine. The outside jacuzzi pool was not working and it also smelled chlorine The good thing is that they have new rooms a second pool and a spa.

I don't know if they pay people to write a good review, but I will speak my truth about this hotel. The price of 230 euros per night is outrageous for the stone room with jacuzzi that we stayed in.Our sheets had holes, the toilet seat was full of old stains, the water in the shower had no pressure at all..The utilities were rusted.Only the jacuzzi was what we expected. The robes were small/tight and overwarned, breakfast was very poor, the room had nothing to do with pictures in their site.We have booked another room with very different style and what we thought bigger. When we saw the sheets we called the reception, we even told them the next day but nothing happened. We left the next day, even that we have booked for 2 nights,I send them an email letting them know about our complaints but they never replied back even to apologize.Never going back there.

This hotel is beautiful and pristine. Very clean room and beautifully laid out and appointed pool areas. Never any question of looking for a cabana or sunbed. Maybe it was because we travelled in July before schools break up, but it never felt busy or overcrowded. The staff were courteous. There are several large pool areas which always had towels available. The bathrooms were nice and stylish. Overall we were very impressed. The hotel feels very ‘grown-up’. Our 14yr old daughters were old enough to fit in. I would not recommend to people with toddlers-12yrs at all. For us it was heavenly and relaxing! We had three suites in total. My husband and I had a stone suite with jacuzzi which was lovely and private. Our children visited us for some fun early evening. The children had two suites between them and they were comfortable and well appointed - they were the older rooms (since the new renovation) and the only negative was that the aircon wasn’t as efficient and the bathrooms were not as well ventilated. But still very clean and comfortable. The shampoo/conditioner/shower gel were divine. The restaurant in the evening was too challenging for our children so we went out to the local tavernas instead. The cocktail bar in the evening was poor… very slow and very badly mixed. We would have loved to spend a couple of evenings playing cards by the pool with cocktails but they were so hit and miss that after the first time we didn’t bother. This hotel is very romantic and would be perfect for honeymooners. The breakfast was average. No toast machine, limited egg options. Although the omelettes were good, I would have liked to have had poached eggs and pancakes available. The fried eggs are always too greasy. We always found something to eat but I have had much better buffet breakfasts elsewhere. The hotel is not accessible- so many steps and levels. If you are in a wheelchair or have any walking issues then avoid. Some reviews say that you can walk to Agia Pelagia from the hotel… I don’t know who these people are but they must be super human… the walk is too far in the Grecian heat and very very steep. You either need a car (we had one) or be prepared to taxi. Overall we loved our stay here. It’s definitely at the more exclusive end of the market for the region. All three children (aged 18, 14 & 14) loved it. We would come again.

I’ll keep the review short….simply a wonderful hotel. The cave suites are perfect can’t fault them. The hotel as a whole is stylish, clean and modern. 90% of caves suites have a sea view, ours was a garden view but we still had a lovely view of the sea. Highly recommend Happy Cretan Suites

What a great stay here!!! Luxery rooms with nice private pools. The breakfast (which is included) is 101 % approved. Huge variety and every time fresh orange juice + a bowl of fruit. What you need here for sure is a rentalcar and the guys at the reception will make 1 phonecall and you will have it the next day. Everyone fromm the staff is very kind to their guests. Keep up the good work 😁😁

We liked everything. There were a wide variety of options for breakfast, which ranged from croissants, omelettes, cakes, salad, fruit etc and we were also given a fruit cup and fresh orange juice daily. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They greeted us every morning, offered advice about where to visit and always had smiles on their faces. We also had complimentary cakes or weather cards left in our room, which was very thoughtful. The room was amazing! It looked exactly as it was advertised. My pictures of our room looked like they were taken straight out of a magazine. The room was cleaned daily and we had zero issues. The wifi is brilliant all over the hotel and we could even cast from our phones to the tv. The pool was cleaned during our stay there and the sun warmed the pool, so it was not cold. The bathtub was also one of my favourite things. OMG! The views from all over the hotel were fantastic, even from our room. It was so lovely to wake up and have the views we had. There was also free parking. Finally, there is a petrol station 3 minutes away (by car) and the beach which had lots of places to eat and shop at, was about 6/7 minutes away (by car).
