We've just returned from a week at this hotel and after having read the last review I do disagree with a lot of the comments.
The hotel is very clean and the room we had (Junior Suite) was spacious and modern. There was a duvet in the cupboard which we used, although no duvet cover. The shower worked well for us, and the bathroom was well appointed.
There are two large pools and one smaller swimming channel, although we only used the main pool by the hotel. It opened every morning at 10am when we were there although you did need to bag sunbeds early. This is because of COVID, there are less sun beds around the pool, all well socially distanced, so we thought to be expected. There were always beds at the other pool but we chose to get up early anyway, so it wasn't a problem for us.
The food is limited but we chose to eat out each evening, walking the short walk into the village where there are lots of fantastic restaurants to choose from. The food is amazing and incredibly cheap so again this wasn't an issue for us. The breakfasts were good with plenty of fresh fruit, hot options, cereal, toast etc. We always found something we liked at lunchtime although we did go out in the car for a couple of days so ate out. The chicken, lamb, fish stew dishes were tasty and certainly adequate for lunch. We never planned on eating in the hotel in the evening so didn't really pay much attention to the food served then.
It's a short walk into the small town/village downhill which takes about 10 minutes. Coming back it is steep but we are in our mid 50s and early 60s and didn't find it a problem! It was good to walk off the dinner we had eaten each evening to be honest.
We found the shop on site reasonably priced. A large bottle of water was 90 cents.
The hotel doesn't provide pool towels because of COVID, so do take your own. You can buy them in the hotel or in the town but better to take your own.
Rooms are not cleaned daily due to to COVID but to be honest this suited us as we didn't make much mess and preferred not having someone coming in every day. You ask at reception when you want towels changed and the room cleaned and it is done the following day. We went for one clean mid-week which was fine.
Toiletries are provided and there are plenty of power points. I would have liked a mirror in the bedroom but managed fine with the one in the bathroom. There was also no bedside tables (we moved the table from the patio inside!) or a huge amount of drawer space, but again we managed and it didn't ruin the holiday.
The drinks on the all inclusive basis were limited but the beer and white wine were good.
All in all we had a great holiday and loved the hotel location. layout and the pool which was very clean. We would recommend!

Firstly, the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. Without exception they are friendly, helpful and always a pleasure to be around. The Covid-19 measures are great and we felt very safe at the hotel.

The room and communal spaces are modern and were always very clean.

Some sun loungers have been removed to allow for extra space around the pool. There was always enough places to relax whilst still being able to distance from other guests.

The dining experience fell far below the expected standard. The buffet is served by staff, due to the Covid 19 measures, which is a great way to minimise risk. There were not nearly enough staff on to ensure a speedy service however. There were always long queues for the hot options and there was regularly only 1 member of staff working across the other salad, dessert, fruit areas. This meant you were often waiting for 15-20+ minutes to eat. The hot options were often cold due to the length of the queues and the lids being left open. When the food was actually hot, it had cooled by the time you got to your table due to having to queue again for salads etc. The staff were always working very hard but they were over worked. It would be impossible for anyone to keep up with the speed of service due to the low numbers of staff working.

The taste of the food was nice on the whole. It was just very repetitive with the same/similar dishes being served all week. We ended up eating out once each day to add a bit of variety.

I would love to stay again, however there would need to be serious improvements on the dining experience.

The hotel was amazing, the view was incredible and you could easily access the nearby beaches, and yes for one of those beaches you did have to walk to (Lygaria I believe), it was actually really nice and a good walk to do. 10 minutes down and maybe 15 minutes back up. With the other beach it was a bus journey, face masks required however, it was only 5 minutes late to get to the bus stop so overall, it was alright.

The rooms were really nice, they were nice and clean and if you’re lucky you can end up with a wonderful view of the sea, and I’ll tell you now it does look really good, wonderful to wake up to. In terms of housekeeping it was an option, you only need to go up to Reception and ask for it to be done, you do just need to make sure that you are out of the room before the housekeeping cokes to ensure that you are safe and so are they.

The pools were also really good, the pool remained clean and was a pleasant place to be, especially if you find the correct pool for your height but also for crowds. I do have to say it wasn’t all that busy by the pools therefore making it nice and peaceful.

The Breakfast, lunch and dinner was also really good, they had some Greek food an some British food. I have seen in some reviews people complaining that the food wasn’t nice however, it is all inclusive.. you have to expect that it isn’t going to be the best thing you have tried, one thing to note is that during the pandemic there are staff who will serve you the food so, you may not get the perfect portion and there may be a queue but, it was perfectly fine once you find the perfect timings to go and get your food.

The staff at the hotel are also REALLY nice, we only ended up having a problem with one member of staff but even they were alright. They’re all really nice and some of them would actually get into proper conversations with us, I have forgotten most of their names but they were really sweet to us and I do 100% recommend visiting here as the staff do take care of you. There was only one bartender with long, grey hair who was a bit rude to us, but he would be nice to other people so, I am not sure what was going on there...

Overall I would 100% recommend visiting the hotel, you’ll not regret going.

when arrived at the hotel we were greeted by giannis who made us feel so welcome and was so helpful , cheerful n funny.
check in was very easy to do on the phone and contactless due to covid , the room was left empty for 24hours which put our minds at ease cause of what’s going on and when we arrived to our room it was spotless and so spacious and amazing.
the views from the hotel were insane the sea is so lush to look at and is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and totally worth it , loads of local shops and restaurants which were sooo lovely !!
every night we couldn’t wait to go to the night bar which is run by the most amazing and genuine people ever , aris and charlene made us feel so welcome every night and made our nights every night and their drinks were beautiful and don’t get me started on their cocktails which are the best i’ve ever had !! provided us the best service the 10 nights we were there for. funniest people and great music :)
the holiday was so amazing even with these hard times but cleanliness of the hotel made everything so much easier and distancing signs to remind you that there is still a pandemic going on even tho you’re on vacation :)
me n my bestie will defiantly b returning next year and we couldn’t b more excited :)

My partner and I stayed at the Panorama village hotel for one week in early September. Despite the Greek governments tightening of the rules on drinking hours, socialising, no live entertainment etc we still really enjoyed our stay there.
Rena the receptionist was lovely, she was really friendly and helpful. The staff at meal times (big up to gorgeous Georgious) worked really hard to serve everyone especially as the new rules meant we couldn't help ourselves to anything because of risk of contaminación.
The restaurant, bars, swimming pools, sun loungers and so on were frequently cleaned to a high standard.
Charlene + Aris worked both bars in the evenings and they were absolutely fantastic. They never seemed to take a break, always smiling and joking with the customers and so knowledgeable and willing to inform us about the best restaurants, bars and places to visit in the local vicinity and further afield also. Amazing!
Due to the covid situation certain things were beyond the hotels control, however we both thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

First of all I don't usually write reviews, so this is a first for me, lovely hotel with lovely views, they don't speak much English here and don't think they favour us English over the germans, arrived here mid Tuesday got basic instructions for our room, which took us a good 20 minutes to find in 30degree heat, a simple map would be good, was shown what time good was serving then was put away, again simple photocopy to keep would of been good to. Did however get a piece of paper with all the trips on, not that we could understand it cos not much of it was in English, we booked a family shared pool terrace room, the shared pool terrace is a public footpath where everybody walks through... Knowing this I would not of booked that room, we came during covid, all the staff were wearing face masks and were brilliant especially the restaurant staff, not the manager though who doesn't speak a word of English and totally ignores English people, nobody explained the yellow lines or what you can or cannot touch in the restaurant in till 2 days later, thank you to that polite server who told us, you have to go and ask for fresh towels and toilet rolls, nobody told us this we found out through other people, there is nothing to do it go here apart from the beach, we took the bus to heraklion which cost us 7euros each and I wasn't impressed with it, all in all it was an ok place, the main thing that let it down were the other people mainly germans who don't give a poop about anybody else, I also found not all but most Greeks are miserable people, compared to the spanish, who have always said hello to anybody and everybody would I come back here, no would I go back to greece, no

Trip advisor review

All inclusive…or a very loose term for it, nothing like I’ve experienced before.

So I stayed here for a 5 day trip by myself. I arrived very late, around 1:30am and was greeted by two lovely gentlemen who showed me how to check in via QR code that took me to their website which lots of people have said bad things about on here but I think it was pretty easy and straight forward. My room was very clean and decent size for 1 person. The view was a bit rubbish, of nothing, but I didn’t expect much with a single room. Room is cleaned and replenished every 2 days and the cleaners are very friendly and don’t come around at the crack of dawn like most places.

I went to reception to collect a pool towel however these are not available at the moment due to covid. This should be stated when booking as I would have packed a towel instead of spending €12 in the shop to buy one, minor inconvenience.

The pool bar staff were very friendly and the animation guy made sure everyone was included in aqua gym which made me feel very comfortable as a solo traveller. Two negatives about the pool: one being the amount of sun beds, I struggled to find 1 sun bed for myself at 9:30am so ended up sitting in the chair area waiting for a free one and the second is about the pool bar; alcohol was very limited during the day, no vodka/gin but I was quite happy with mocktails. Normal alcohol was served in the evening which was a bit odd to be served in the evening but not the daytime. The food was a bit repetitive but I’m a basic eater so was happy with pasta and pizza, however there are some themed nights. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a vegan or vegetarian as not many options apart from vegetables and utensils are mixed.

The terrace bar in the evening: you have to purchase a bottle of wine or cocktails to stay on a table…which is where the entertainment is…in an all inclusive hotel…

There’s a free shuttle bus that takes you to Aghia Pelagia beach and back. I got the 3pm bus and was picked up and taken back at 6pm. Quite a small beach but enough space to sunbathe and the water is beautifully crystal clear! There’s some lovely little restaurants and plenty of places to get a drink at fairly reasonable prices.

All in all it was a good holiday for me.

We just came back from 8 days holiday in Panorama Village & Hotel. The hotel in all was not bad. The room was nice and big enough for family of 4. The swimming pools were nice and clean. I usually do not write negative reviews but we booked All Inclusive which was total waste of money. Firstly the food was not good. There was not big variety of main dishes. We were expecting more Greek style food and especially more variety of sea food (we were closed to the sea after all). My husband was getting Greek salad first two days but after that he stopped because the tomatoes in it tasted like old. Because of the whole pandemic situation there were people that served the food and most of the time they were putting so small amount that we felt like we need to beg for food. The drinks were not good as well. The water and the juices for the kids smelted like the water in the swimming pool. There were no snacks between the meals except drinks as it should be when you get All Inclusive. The only snack was some small cakes and biscuits that you can get between 4pm and 5pm. Most of the staff were I cannot say unfriendly but very reserved except Vangelis. He was very friendly and talkative. Unfortunately I should say that we will not go back again.

Absolutely recommend, we booked a couple weeks prior for a cheap last minute holiday and were very impressed, we had a room with a sea view, the room was lovely and clean and the views were immaculate, would recommend for specificity young couples, chilled during the day with water polo etc, then night time has great entertainment with bingo/ dance nights and loud music, older couples weren’t happy about this though so wouldn’t recommend if you are here for an early bed relaxed holiday. We went all inclusive the cocktail menu changes at 6.30pm, the day time cocktails are terrible but the night time menu is great, if they had these cocktails at night that would make it so much better! Food was average kind of what you expect for a buffet all inclusive, as a bit of a fussier eater I was perfectly fine as they had pizza every night, pasta, fries etc and they have themed nights so the Greek night was amazing the gyros are amazing, I wish this was on the menu every night since being in Greece I thought it would be. The bar lady Charlene was lovely! So welcoming and would chat away and the entertainment man max was a great laugh! Also super friendly and certainly kept us entertained. A slight downside is that the hotel is up a steep hill so if your going down to the beach often it’s a steep walk in the heat, there is busses on to the beach but the timings are limited.

The area that the hotel (agia pelagia) there’s not a lot around but you are only a 30 min bus away from the city which has great shops and bars, it’s also only about 30 mins from the water park which was great fun!

Biggest recommendation! as we did it cheaper we flew in to chania airport ( DO NOT DO THIS) it was a 5 and a half hour transfer which said it would be 3 which wasn't ideal but would be bearable, pay the extra to fly to Heraklion we totally wish we did now! However it was going to be an extra £200 or so

Overall very impressed! Lovely hotel with lovely staff!

Myself and my partner had arrived at around 2am in the morning, after a 2 hour delay with the flight. on arrival, the transfer was unable to get down the drive way to assist with bags as reception refused to open the barrier. The long drive way walk with bags and being tired was not ideal, but we forgot about it. We had then got to reception, where we was ignored until we spoke to the rude man at the reception. He then stood and pointed to a poster stuck up on how to check in, demanded the tax and gave us our key. It just got worse from then, the room we had booked we had not been given, we was given a “ garden view room” which was a wall with loads of bugs, smelly sewerage and the air con did not work, reported it to reception and got told “ we can not do anything as we have no space while Wednesday!

Again we sucked it up and got on with it, throughout the whole week it just got from bad to worse drastically:
The room was only cleaned once within the week we stayed there, asked for clean towels daily and it became an issue and felt like we asked for the world.
The all inclusive drinks was a shambles, you was only allowed to collect one each despite being two of you. Long ques and the drinks was awful!
The food was the same everyday, they was no food available after 9 and we was not allowed to order takeaway, rhe nearest restraunt was like 30 minutes walk.

The “entertainment” was not on all the time, but when we did go we got charged to take part, one occasion we was not allowed to sit there unless we bought cocktails at 9 euros each! This was not the only thing they tried to charge you for, if you asked for anything such as your room cleaning/ wifi “ extra charge”

And finally, the lack of sun beds rhe hotel was overloaded with people who thought it was acceptable to put towels on sunbeds and not use them all day, when we finally got one we was hounded daily with the “ special offer for you” massage lady several times a day.

If you are planning a relaxing, stress free and enjoyable holiday AVOID. In addition it does state “ accessibility and family friendly” but it isn’t, the lifts don’t work and only fit one person in, the hills are steep and the music is booming while after midnight!!

Overall, ruined my birthday/ holiday and we was glad when I got home.
