Loved staying at this little gem. Lisa is a fabulous cook and this family runs a tight ship. Clean, lovely rooms. The food is fabulous! It is out of the way, but a quick walk into town, to the military hospital, and to the Nanstein castle ruins if they interest you. I was worried about the neighbor's roosters and chickens... More

The Oelmuehle is crammed in an area that has lots of narrow alleys but it's worth to go there and there is usually enough parking. The hotel is run by a family of very hard working people who try to make you feel comfortable. The place looks like it serves typical German food but you will be in for a... More

The hotel is in a beautifully renovated old mill at the foot of the castle, in and among the community of Landstuhl. The entire renovation is exceptional, from the stone floors to the wonderfully modern rooms. The staff and owner are fantastic and go above and beyond to ensure a carefree stay. The hotel is within easy walking distance to... More

Food never disappoints! I have been here several times for fancy date nights or anniversaries and social gatherings. The atmosphere is understated elegance. The staff is professional and warm. The menu offers tasty traditional German fare as well as creative international fusion. They also have a good wine, beer, and cocktail selection.

Pros: Hotel itself is a beautiful and historic building, lovingly renovated with incredible attention to detail and perfectly located within easy strolling distance to central Landstuhl. The rooms were elegant, spacious and very comfortable. The chef-hotelier (Elizabeth) has created an incredible menu to satisfy the most discriminating palate - after dining here the first night we couldn't wait for our... More

I was to be in Landstuhl on business and began searching for a nice place to stay. This hotel had great reports and deservedly so. They have a great kitchen and the renovations that the owner undertook have created a wonderful oasis in the middle of a city. If you like to sit outside there is ample space and seating... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a 2 week vacation in Germany. Stayed in Landstuhl since it was in the area from living in Germany in 1969. It is a family hotel and restaurant. The family did a fantastic job on the hotel remodel. The food was excellent. It was one of the best meals I had on the entire... More

A fantastic hotel well hidden in a small town. The service was excellent, the room very nice, clean and comfortable and the overall experience was great. Excellent choice for a business trip where spa and sauna is not that important. The restaurant is an excellent choice as well!

We loved staying at Oelmuehle. I lived in the area 20 years ago so this was a trip back to the old neighborhood. Our room was huge and had everything we needed. It was sparkling clean. The breakfast was excellent. We ate one night in the restaurant and it was delicious. Highly recommend. Free wifi, TV (but without many English-speaking... More

The hotel I usually stay in Landstuhl didn't have a room for the day I was scheduled to arrive so I had to find another hotel for the night. I booked this hotel through an online booking site before I left from the states. I really didn't have any expectations since I was used to the other hotel and it... More
