Yep, the guy that checked me in was wearing lederhosen. There are dairy cows in the back of the building. The rooms are nicely appointed however and the breakfast is good. The town dates to 1444. It is a cute place and something that would be great as part of a tour.

Set in a small village in the middle of countryside just a few minutes drive from a nice lake. Free parking. Cute hotel and restaurant which falls short because of a lack of attention to detail. For example, rooms do not have any information sheets; so you have to go down to reception if you have any questions - but...

Stayed here again for only one night, wish it was longer. We had a "new" room which was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was of typical "Bavarian" style. The owner "Herbert" welcomed us upon arrival. He was very friendly and helpful with any question or request we had. We will definitely stay here again as we...

This is a beautiful, very warm familiy hotel. It has been recently built or renewed. The rooms are very very clean, we had a duble room with a really big bathroom. It is set in nice quiet village, few minutes from Ammersee lake. Staff is polite and helpfull. Hotel has an excellent, not expensive restaurant. Restaurant staff speaks very little...

Well, if you want to experience a stay in a Bavarian village, the Gasthof sur Post is it. The owners are wonderful people and they manage this place wonderfully. The rooms are clean and the right size, with good Wi-Fi in the rooms (ask for the code at the reception). The food in the restaurant is wonderful! Breakfast selections give...

stayed there for two nights; everything extraclean - room, bathroom, restaurant, etc. -, owners lovely people, good breakfast; anyway, I would appreciate some amenities in the bathroom, as solid soaps, bottle of shampoos, and so on, I don't like the big bottles of liquid soap already touched by previous guests; the tv set is quite small, and perhaps the noise...

Stayed here with my husband in May 2010. Very clean. Very "Bavarian". All the people we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. They were very accomodating with our lack of speaking the german language, and some even spoke english with us. It was great to talk to the people and learn about their area and lives. It was a quiet...
