Searching for accommodation along Lake Constance during the Sommer season, most hotels were fully booked. So we (a Lady from California and I ) had to chose an option further away. However, it was a quick, easy drive to Tettnang. What a surprise to find this amazing Hotel Rad which used to be a hostel built in 1585, only footsteps...

Very nice hotel in the middle of small town Tettnang. Rooms are quite big and comfortable. You can have nice selection of food for breakfast. Service is very nice and people are helpful. I fully recommended for both private or business trips.

The Hotel's restaurant is one of the best in the region offering some of the finest Swabian cuisine, served by consistently friendly and efficient wait personnel in a fabulously pannelled dining room. In May and June, a Must for the White Asparagus, the region's most famous vegetable. Germany at its best.

Looking for a decent place to overnight in Friedrichshafen on the way from South Tirol to Belgium I found this property on booking.com. Turned out to be lovely. Spotlessly clean modern rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast. The town is very pleasant and apparently has much to offer. Will definitely consider coming back!

We arrived here after the hotel we had booked into had not received our booking and was full. The owner found us a place at The Hotel Rad. We were a little apprehensive as we had no idea what to expect. We need not have worried we had a fantastic stay. The hotel was comfortable. The only down side was...

We stayed here last weekend with friends and enjoyed the experience. The double rooms are larger than average, with plenty of space for all the "stuff" that one carries when travelling. The room standard is "comfortable" rather than luxurious but relatively modern with the usual flat-screen TV and enough chairs, tables etc to cover our needs. Our bathroom was a...

Hotel Rad has the best location in Germany. Especially the hotel's street where was close many restaurant, bar, mall, apotheke etc. Breakfast was so cool also my room had a very big balcony and square meters. You should try tettnanger beer in the hotels restaurant.

Pros: Great central location; super-friendly hotel staff; great all-you-can-eat breakfast of breads, cheeses, meats, vegetables, juices, and coffee; the hotel's decor and overall (quaint and historic but modern) atmosphere are fantastic; everything is clean; and did I mention how nice the hotel staff is? Cons: Not sure you can call it a negative, but the rooms themselves are simply average...

We ate here as part of a large group, service was efficient & friendly despite the size of our party & the fragmented nature of our arrival. Menu choice was good with fish & meat options, plus a small number of vegetarian dishes.
